YOU ARE AMAZING

Hello everyone!!!

I'm in love with the face stamps from the Palettini collection from Technique Junkies Stamps and this one "Let's Face It 4" in particular.  Isn't she stunning?  I paired her with the sentiment "You Are Amazing", which I thought was so appropriate for this face.

Copic markers were used to color in the face.  If you like to color, these stamps are perfect for that, and this stamp really makes it easy to create a card for someone special.

If you'd like to purchase some stamps from the Palettini collection or ANY of the Technique Junkies stamps, use my personal discount code and enjoy a 10% discount on your entire order!  TJ10CHERI.

Sadly, I'm here with my last post for Technique Junkies Stamps.  I hope I've inspired you during the last 2 1/2 years I've been on this team of incredibly talented artists.  I feel so fortunate to have been among them.  And I thank Pat Huntoon for giving me this wonderful opportunity.

APRIL 2019 ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello House Friends,

It's Wednesday and time for another challenge at The House That Stamps Built blog.

Here is a stamp collage card I made for this challenge using RI#6205-M "Mr. Goof" , RI#8215-D "Meow", RI#631-G "Single Rose", RI#5131-I "Pine Needle Sil." and RI#6806-U "Sheet Music".

To begin, I first made a bg with a light water color wash on a piece of watercolor paper.  Then drying the piece and stamping that adorable cat face with Archival Ink.  I made a mask for him and stamped the other stamps around the masked area to create the collage.  I removed the mask and using watercolor pens, I colored in the cat face and the roses.  The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I used Copic Markers to color the eyes on Mr. Goof.

Sadly, this is my last post as a Repeat Impressions Rock Star.  It's been quite a run and I've enjoyed each and every moment I've been on this team.  I will miss hanging around with some of the most talented paper crafters on the planet.  They've all inspired me.

I'm forever grateful to Wendy Wyman for taking a chance on me 8 years ago, and giving me one of the greatest opportunities in my crafting life and for trusting me to show off her awesome stamps.

Thank you for stopping by each week and for taking time to leave me a comment.  I appreciate you all so very much.  I will miss you too.

BEAUTIFUL BLUEBERRIES - MY PICK OF THE WEEK

Hello everyone!  Cheri here with my pick of the week for you for The House That Stamps Built and Repeat Impressions Stamps.

The stamps I used here are discounted 20% for one week only, so don't miss out on this opportunity.

Here in Maine, it's all about the blueberries and Wendy, has some gorgeous blueberry stamps.  If you like to color, these are exceptional stamps to color with.  I had such a fun time creating these cards and matching envelopes.

I used Copic Markers to color all the images and (here's a tip) in order to keep the markers from bleeding through on the envelopes, I placed a piece of plastic packaging inside the envelop while I colored.

I hope you were inspired by my creation with these blueberry stamps and I hope you take the opportunity to grab them for yourself while this 20% discount is available.  You won't be sorry.

APRIL 2019 INSPIRATION CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello House friends!!!

Our Wednesday challenge this week is an inspiration challenge.  You pick from the inspiration board, what inspires your creative juices, then show off the results at The House That Stamps Built blog.  You never know, your entry into the challenge might just win you a $25.00 gift certificate to pick out some fabulous Repeat Impressions Stamps.

Perhaps this card I made will help get your mojo going.

My card uses the incredible RI#912-K "Tulip Bouquet", one of the many, many floral stamps available in the RI store.  I colored the image with Copic Markers and paired it with sentiment RI#1112-E "Just A Note".  This makes a lovely card for any occasion.

Enabler alert!!!  If you'd like to get these stamps (or any Repeat Impressions stamps) for yourself, and you'd like a little discount, please use my discount code rr10cw.

After stamping and coloring the image on a separate card stock panel, I cut an identical size second panel and die cut an oval in the center.  I then took that panel and embossed it and finally adhering it over the image.  The sentiment was stamped on a scrap piece and die cut then adhered to the front panel.  Very easy card to make.

Here's your inspiration - let's see what you can create from it.  My inspiration came from the gorgeous colors and the flowers.

There's more inspiration ideas for you at the blogs of my team mates.  Take a look and leave them some love.  I know they'd appreciate it.

LILY OF THE VALLEY SEASON

Hello everyone!!!

I'm pretty partial to the lily of the valley flower.  They have such a sweet fragrence and I adore the tiny bell shaped flowers.  They are also my birth month flower.  So I was thrilled when I saw this stamp "Lily of the Valley Background" from Mitten State Stamps in the April 2019 release collection.

I paired it with a sentiment from "French Sentiments  Set of 4" (another favorite set of mine).

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you found some inspiration.   If you'd like to add these the stamps I've used here to your collection, I can offer a 10% discount.  Just use my personal discount code TJ10CHERI.

Have a great week!

APRIL 2019 TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello House friends!!!!

It's a Tic, Tac, Toe Wednesday and a new challenge at The House That Stamps Built.

For this card I used Repeat Impressions Stamps #2610-J "Jump For Joy", #1507-J "Grass Border" and #1306-G "Here Comes ".

After sponging the edge of the card stock panel, I stamped the grass border across the edge.  The rabbit was stamped in Gray Flannel Memento dye ink.  I wish it had been a better image result, but I didn't want to start over or restamp it so I went with what I had.

The sentiment was stamped on a scrap with VersaMark and heat embossed in white ep.  After attaching the floral and pastel wash tape, the entire panel was die cut with a scalloped die.  I added an assortment of bubbles with some Viva Pearl Pens I have for a little fun detail.

My tic, tac, toe path was horizontally across the top, Easter, Washi Tape and Pastel Colors.

Come on over and play along with us at The House and show us what you can do with this challenge board.

If you need more inspiration, you will love to see what my Rock Star team mates have to show you.

FIESTA, FIESTA, FIESTA

Hello everyone!!!!

Spring isn't here in our part of Maine yet...yesterday we got 8 inches of snow and there's more coming today!!!!  Whatever!!!!!

In spite of the snow, I'm creating a feista card using the new companion stamps from Technique Junkies StampsFiesta and Hot Peppers.

These stamps and all other stamps are available to you with a 10% discount, if you'd like to take advantage of it.  Simply use my personal code TJ10CHERI at discount.

I created this card by first stamping Hot Peppers in VersaMark ink and heat embossing with gold ep.  I then used my PolyChromo pencils to color them.  The sentiment was stamped the same, then cut with an older Spellbinder die, mounted on a brushed cold layer and adhered over the hot peppers panel.

Have a great day and week.  Thanks for stopping by.

APRIL 2019 DESIGNER'S CHOICE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello House friends!!!

Here we are at the first Wednesday of a new month!!!! Yay!!! Spring is really ahead of us.  Today we're having a designer's choice challenge at The House That Stamps Built and it's Laurie's turn to challenge us.  She's chosen "use a stencil".

Today is our grandson's 12th birthday and this card is for him.

I used RI#9302-P "Cupcakes" from the "Pairings" set, RI#3915-F "Got Cake?" and RI#3404-C "Random Dots" .  I fussy cut out the cupcake and put a little wobble on it so it would be an interactive card.  I sponged some light blue dye ink through a circle stencil.  This was such a fun card to create.  I think he'll like it.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Come on over and join Laurie's challenge.  All the details can be found at The House.

MARCH 2019 ANYTHING GOES AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hey there, House friends!!!!

It's the last Wednesday of the month of March and we've got an Anything Goes Challenge for you at The House That Stamps Built.  Come on over and play along!!!

My card uses Repeat Impressions Stamps #504-L "Peaches" and #2505-G "You're The Best".

I created 2 masks with the peach stamp to get the bouquet cluster.  Using watercolor paper and Distress Ink Antique Linen, I stamped the peaches on the panel.  I used my watercolor pens to color the images and background.  For final dimension and texture, I splattered white gouache over the panel before layering it on a peach colored card stock layer and adding a few sequins.  My inspiration came from watching a video by Debby Hughes on YouTube.

Come on over and play along with our ever popular "Anything Goes Challenge".  You can enter all of the challenge for this month too and get into a drawing for a $25.00 gift certificate for some fabulous Repeat Impressions Stamps.

MARCH 2019 INSPIRATION CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello House Peeps!!!!

There's a new inspiration challenge at The House That Stamps Built and it's beautiful.  We hope you'll be inspired and join us.  I was inspired by the colors and the ethereal sense I got from the photo.

My card uses Repeat Impressions Stamps #9204-M "Water Lilies and Dragonflies"   and #9206-H "Beautiful Days" from the Beautiful Days set.

This card was an evolution of techniques and applications.  I first started by stamping my image onto a neutral colored card stock base with a neutral color ink in order for a no line image effect.  I then colored it in with Chameleon Colortone pencils.

I made a mask for the stamped image and then lightly inked some Distress Oxide Inks over it and around the panel.  Distress Oxide inks don't blend, so you can apply multiple colors without muddying the results.  After removing the mask, I then used Copic markers to blend around the tiny images and this achieved (I think) the ethereal feel.

I felt the panel needed a little more something-something, so I splattered it with some white, gray and deep purple acrylic paint.  (That might have been a little too much).

Finally, the panel was die cut, I stamped the sentiment and it was mounted on a white card stock base.

Here is the inspiration board, what inspires you from this?

Come on over and play along...all the details can be found at THE HOUSE.   And don't miss out on the creations my team mates have made, check out their blogs for more inspiration.

That's it...have a great day and keep it crafty!!!

BUTTERFLY BEAUTY IN MIXED MEDIA

Hey there, TJ peeps!!!

I'm still playing with the fabulous new stamps from the March Release!  This one is called Butterfly Beauty and it truly is!  I've used a lot of product from the Technique Junkies Store on this card, all links are provided.

I started layering wet Distress Oxide Inks on watercolor paper drying each layer before adding the next.  I splattered water around the panel to achieve more dimension.

The butterfly was then stamped on the panel with a waterproof ink and painted it with a yellow Inktense Pencil. Using some green Distress Oxide Inks, I sponged Flowing Drops Stencil from A Colorful Life onto some areas in the background.

Using the TJ Stamp "Faint Scratches" , with the same waterproof ink I used to stamp the butterfly, I stamped it around the background for another layer and more texture and dimension.

The sentiment "One Must Live" was also stamped in the same waterproof ink.

For final details, I painted Shimmering Bliss "Harvest Sunset" on the inside of the butterfly's wings....I just loved this look, and made little dots with my white gel pen.

All the products I have listed and linked here can be purchased at a full 10% discount by using my personal code TJ10CHERI.  In fact, that discount code can be used on all stamps in the store and some supplies.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you found some creative inspiration while you were here.
