CSS Alumni Sketch Blog Hop

Welcome to another CSS Alumni Blog Hop! This time we're doing a sketch created by our own Melissa Cash.  Have some fun with us and create your own project using Melissa's sketch and then post it to the forum thread.  We'd love to see your creations.

If you've arrived here from the fabulous Deb's blog, you're in the right place.  If not, we invite you to link back to the beginning and take the whole hop so you don't miss a single project from this incredibly talented group.

Here is Melissa's great sketch

Here's what I came up with:

This will be used as a tag on a gift.  I love these colors together and really like how this tag came out.
The DP is from StampTV Kit Sent with Love.  The balloon is stamped from the StampTV kit Eclectic Summer using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored the dots were made with Copic Markers.  The circles are made with Nestabilities and layered on a doily I got from Michaels.  CS is GKD, Lipstick Red and White.  The "ribbon" greeting is a Nestability  label die and MS punch created the pine sprigs.

I then thought this sketch would look great layered on a card so I created this card with the sketch as a focal image.

For this card I used stamp set "Nesting" by Asela Hopkins.  The CS is GKD Pure Luxury white, Sand, Ocean Mist.  The BG is done with CuttleBug folder branches.  DP is Prima Madeline paper, the strip of music notes is Tim Holz ribbon.  Spellbinder pendant die and circle Nestabilities.  The eggs were embellished with Liquid Pearls White Opels and then colored with Copic Marker BG01.  The feathers are real.

Thank you so much for stopping by, and don't forget to play along with us.

Be sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (May 17th), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and one of them will be drawn to win a Gina K Designs stamp set of their choice valued up to $24.95!  GOOD LUCK!

Now, please hop on over to the incredibly talented Carolina's blog She always has something gorgeous to show us.

Let's Get Sketchy

Hi my blog friends!  There's a new challenge going on over at StampTV called

The incredibly talented illustrator and design team member for StampTV, Theresa Momber, is hosting the challenge this week and she has created this great sketch.

Here's what I came up with - I flipped it a bit, but that's the fun with sketch challenges!

This card was made using Gina K Pure Luxury CS White as a base, then "Lovely Lavender" was embossed with a CuttleBug folder.  The DP is from Basic Grey "Olivia" paper pad.  Stamps:  Gina K Design "Little Critters" and "What's the Dirt".  I colored the bluebells with Copic Markers and layered it against the gorgeous new accent weight paper "Key Lime" (I LOVE this paper).  The sentiment was cut with Spellbinder Shapeabilities "Ribbon Banners" die.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and watch for another fantastic CSS Alumni Blog Hop this weekend.

Keep stamping!
