REPEAT IMPRESSIONS NEW RELEASE BLOG HOP

Holy Crap... It's A Blog Hop!
Please join us at The House That Stamps Built for a blog hop celebrating Repeat Impressions' newest stamp series... Holy Crap! Yup, hehe... it's true... Wendy's designed a humorous collection of stamps around something she's confessed to saying a little too often.

This new stamp series starts with a large "holy crap!" sentiment which can be paired with any of the great variety of smaller words and sentiments to create a wide range of funny cards. A few theme appropriate images are also included. Please visit Repeat Impressions' online store to check out the entire Holy Crap! collection.

So today all the RI Rock Stars are kicking off a blog hop to showcase some of the new designs and also give you an opportunity to win the stamps!

To participate in the hop all you have to do is visit The House That Stamps Built blog and the blogs of all the Rock Stars listed there. On each blog you will find a key letter. After you collect all the letters, use the letters to create the proper word and then email it to Wendy to be eligible for the blog candy.

Here are a couple of cards I created with these new stamps

My letter for you is… "I"  Add this letter to each letter you pick up from the other Rock Stars and complete the whole word.
You must complete the hop and email Wendy the correct word no later than 5pm eastern time on Monday, July 11th. The blog candy for this hop… an unmounted sheet of the new "Holy Crap!" stamps!
Wendy will announce the winner on Tuesday, July 12th on Repeat Impressions' Facebook page so please be sure to "Like" and follow them there if you don't already.

The order of the hop is this:  Don't forget, leave a comment and pick up a letter at each hop to win!

WHAT IF? WEDNESDAY COLOR CHALLENGE

Hi there, blog friends!

It's the first What If? Wednesday challenge for the new month of July and as it is every first Wednesday of the month, it's a color challenge at The House That Stamps Built.

I screwed up with my card and got more blue than turquoise but I didn't have time for a redo, so just pretend it's more of a turquoise blue, okay?

Stamps used for this card are from the Flower Power Separates and the sentiment is from The Hello Cling Stamp set.

Thanks so much for stopping by and don't miss the incredible creations from these fabulous Rock Stars then head on over to THE HOUSE and join in on the challenge. You might just win a $25.00 gift certificate for Repeat Impression Stamps.

COLORING ON KRAFT

Hi everyone!!!

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends!!!

Cheri here, with a new Project of the Week for The House That Stamps Built.

This week my project is coloring on kraft.  This is an easy technique that gives you a way to use scraps of kraft paper (if you have them) and a fun way for you to use your coloring tools like pencils or markers.  If you use embossing powder (as I did here), you won't want to use your alcohol markers as they don't work well together.

Here are the supplies I used:

VersaMark (embossing ink), Stamp of choice (RI#10201-W "Flower Power Background"), white embossing powder, piece of kraft cs cut to prefered size, coloring tool of choice (Memento markers used here), and my MISTI stamping positioning tool.  (Not shown, anti-static tool for embossing and heat gun).

Prepare your cardstock with the anti-static tool.  Ink up your stamp with VersaMark ink and stamp onto your prepared kraft cardstock.

Once you're satisfied with the impression of ink on the cardstock, immediately sprinkle white embossing powder over the inked surface and heat emboss.

Now you're ready to color the image as you wish.

Here are the two images I prepared and colored.

Finish your card as you like.

Of course I had to do an 4th of July themed card....Stamps used on this card are RI#3711-G "God Bless America" and RI# 1701-P "Bald Eagle".

Stamps used on this card are RI#10201-W "Flower Power Background" and RI#6103-J "Thinking of You"

I hope you have some fun with this technique.  Have a safe and wonderful holiday!
