Outlawz CAS Sunday Color Challenge

Back over at the Outlawz there's another week of challenges.  Check out all their fun challenges and play along.  You might just win something.  I did!

I made this card for the CAS Sunday Color Challenge.  The challenge was to use these colors

Here is my card for this challenge.

The Card Stock is Gina K Pure Luxury "Fresh Asparagus", "Green Apple" and "Lemon Drop".  I used white as my neutral color.  The stamped image is also from GKD "Botanicals" using the dropped shadow technique with Memento "Vintage Green" ink.  The sentiment is another image from GKD "Basket Blessings" illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.  Nestabilities Petit Ovals were used for the focal image.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  If you've never been here before, please leave a comment, follow me or sign up for an email when I post.

StampTV CSS Alumni Color Challenge Blog Hop

WELCOME!  To the first of StampTV Center Stage Spotlight DT March Blog Hops!  We're so happy you're taking these hops with us and we love reading your comments.  If you've come from the exceptionally talented Carolina's blog, then you're in the right place.  If not, then we invite you to take this hope from THE BEGINNING so that you can see all of the fabulous inspiration that this talented group has to offer.

This is a COLOR CHALLENGE BLOG HOP and our projects are showcasing this week's Color Challenge at StampTV.

I love this color combination and couldn't wait to create with it.  That said, I found myself in a quagmire of ideas formulating in my head and when it was time to put those ideas to paper, I felt like a cat trying to throw a fur ball LOL,  (sorry for the graphic).

I made two cards although I had other designs flowing in my head....yet, I needed a quick birthday card and this is the what ended up on my craft table.

After making this card, I realized I had used a different green card stock other than the one that Gina had in her challenge.  The green CS I used is "Green Apple" not "Fresh Asparagus" as Gina has in her challenge...I think it still worked okay!

Details:  Stamp Set is "Labeled with Love" and it's framed with Nestabilities Labels 14 that has been embossed with EF.  DP is Basic Grey "Cappella".  Roses are Prima.

I used "Fresh Asparagus" CS on my next card

Details:  I used PL CS  "Fresh Asparagus" for the base of this card and used "Soft Sand" for the frame layer then embossed the leaf branch on "White".  I used this Tonic Punch to make the corners.  The focal image is from the stamp set "You Are Not Alone" and the sentiment is from  the stamp set "Framed Greetings".  The ends of the jute ribbon were left unconnected and I tied a bow on the "tail" of the long end with twine.  All products can be purchased from StampTV

I LOVE taking these hops with all of you.  Thanks so very much for stopping by and don't forget to add a card to the color challenge STVCSP15 (PLEASE USE CAPITAL LETTERS FOR THE CHALLENGE TAG) and you'll be enter to win a FREE Gina K, StampTC stampset of your choice valued up to $24.95.

Now hop on over to the fabulous Deb Felts blog.  She's got something fantastic to show you.

Have a GREAT weekend!

New Sketch Challenge StampTV

Happy Monday!

There's a new sketch challenge posted over at the Forum on StampTV.  Come on over and play.....you might just win a free stamp set by Gina K Designs.

Here's the sketch

Here's my card

It's a girly girl card but I got this new dp and I wanted to play with it.  It's Basic Grey "Wisteria" 6X6 paper pad.  I let the ribbon half frame the focal image and added some pearls.  The stamps are from Gina K Design stamp set "Lean on Me" and the sentiment is from another GDK set designed by Melanie Muenchinger, called "Arranged with Love".

I'm also entering this in the Greetings Challenges over at Outlawz

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

Watch for another StampTV Center Stage Alumni color challenge blog hop this Saturday!  There will be lots of great projects to show you.

Karma from Sketch 105

It was karma when I opened my email this morning and found the latest sketch post over at Card Patterns. Last night I started making a card for a little girl who has been undergoing some serious spinal surgery this past week (her grandma is a StampTV friend of mine).  Things have been very serious for little Minnie and I wanted to send her a card that would tell her I was thinking of her and praying for her.  I had the stamp(Just got it from Whimsy Stamps) and the idea of what I wanted to do, but I didn't have a sketch (one that I liked anyway) to build around it.  Sketch 105 at Card Patterns is just the sketch to make a perfect surrounding for Jelly Bean (That's the little elephant's name).

Here's the sketch to follow:

Here's my card for Minnie using the sketch.

Doesn't he just looked all propped up on a soft and girly girl bed with lots of lace and pastel colors?  This stamp just makes me smile every time I see it and I'm hoping that he brings some to Minnie.  If you're a person who prays, I'm sure Minnie's family would appreciate you sending one up on her behalf.  Things have not been looking good for this sweet little girl these past few days.  Thanks, if you do.

Details and supplies for this card:  CS is Gina K Design Pure Luxury White and Vibrant Violet.  DP is from Basic Grey 6X6 Wisteria pad.  Elephant Stamp is "Jelly Bean" created by Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps and I paired it with a sentiment stamp from the Showtime StampTV Kit "Picutre It".   I colored Jelly Bean with Copic Markers.  Ribbon, lace and button from my stash, butterfly is from a MS punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!
