INSPIRATION CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello blog friends!!!!

Are you ready for another inspiration challenge from The House That Stamps Built????  These are so much fun and we hope you agree.

I was so inspired by the black cats and the moon....that I really focused on those images in my card.

In order to get the bg layers, I first masked a "moon"...I then sponged Distress Inks in layers around it.  When I was satisfied with the sponging, I removed the mask and sponged the moon.  Then the stamping began.  Stamps used on this card are RI#1507-J "Grass Borders", #1609-J "Winter Tree", #5113-H "Cat Sil Lg" and #5116-I "Cat Sitting Sil", #2320-G Wide Pumpkin and the sentiment is #4003-F "Feline Better".   The little cat was popped up with pop dots for dimension.

I hope you'll join the challenge.  You can find all the detail at The House.

Would you like to see some more incredible cards made using this inspiration?  Here you go....check these ladies out.

BRAND NEW JUNKIE AND FIRST POST

Hello everyone!!!!

I'm very excited to be posting my very first blog post as a Technique Junkie Design Team Member.  Yay!!!!  I feel so fortunate to be part of such an amazingly talented group....I'm still pinching myself.

For my first blog post, I made an easy card to reproduce.  If you like to color (and I do), the focal image called "Mrs. Santa's List" is right up your alley.  I colored her with Copic Markers and used a little Viva Glitter Pen to give her collar and earring some bling, then framed her using Spellbinder Classic Oval dies. For the background I used a new background stamp called "Baubles" was so easy to do by heat embossing in Silver embossing powder.  Both stamps are from the October 2016 Release.  To finish it off, I "framed" the background layer using "Wonky Stitch" Die by Avery Elle and popped Mrs. Santa up off the bg layer using dimensional tape.

I hope you like my card.  Be sure to check out the TJ Blog and see all the posts for loads of inspiration.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
