WHAT IF? WEDNESDAY INSPIRATION CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hi there blog friends!

This is an exciting week for the Rock Stars Design Team.  We're welcoming Shirley Hotop to our group.  Shirley is so creative and I know you'll find tons of inspiration from her on our team.

This week it's a photo inspiration challenge.  Find something from the photo that inspires you and create a card or project from it and then post it to The House

I was inspired by the fluff of the clouds, their shape in the form of a heart and the pastel colors.

I used RI #5105-I "Cloud Sil (lg), to create most of the background, including the shadows at the bottom.  I used a collection of soft pastel inks and over stamped the cloud in order to create the base.  I then did second generation stamping to create the upper portion background.  The focal image is RI# 1218-H "Heart Balloon" was first stamped on the card layer in gray ink in multiple places.   Using Brusho color powders, one at a time, I mixed a color with water on my Teflon work surface until I had the soft color I was looking for.  Then I'd lay the watercolor paper into the pool of ink/water and set it aside and mix another color and repeat the process.  The inks weren't allowed to dry too long before dipping into the next color.  I wanted them to mix, but not blend too much.  Once I was happy with the watercolor panel, I then stamped the heart part of the stamp in various places and fussy cut them out and glued them into place on the card layer.  I added Wink of Stella clear glue pen on the balloons for some bling.  The sentiment stamps are from the new RI  big words "HAPPY" set.

Thanks for stopping by.  We hope you'll join the inspiration challenge this week.  The details can be found over at The House
