StampTV CSS DT Inspiration Challenge Blog Hop

Welcome!

Here we are with another StampTV CSS DT blog hop and this one is an inspiration challenge.  If you've come here from the very talented Brenda's blog, you're in the right place.  If you didn't, you may want to see the entire hop and all the inspiration from the beginning

Isn't this image Geri found sensational?  We invite you to play along with us and create your own card using the image as your inspiration.

Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (August 28), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps!

Here's what I created - I was drawn to all the texture and the glorious colors of this entry way.  Great image, Geri.

The technique I used for the bg is called "Embossing Puzzle" and it can be found in the latest Technique Junkie's Newsletter.  The stamp set "Heartfelt" is by Theresa Momber.  CS is GKD Pure Luxury "kraft", "Chocolate Kiss" and white.   Copics were used to color the pumpkins.  Spellbinder M-bossibilities and Labels Eighteen.  Leaf punch and Memory Box vine die.

Now, hop on over to the super talened Geri's blog  and check out her stunning creation.

Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the hop!

What If? Wednesday

Hello blog friends and followers!

I want to first, thank you for your kind and caring words of encouragement and sympathy for our Bess.  She was an awesome friend and companion and your messages meant so much.

At Repeat Impressions and The House That Stamps Built, it's time for What If? Wednesday.  This happens every two weeks, when Wendy gives us a sketch and the Rock Stars create a card with it.  Here is this week's Sketch

What a fabulous sketch and fun to play with - here's my card using this sketch.

I used Repeat Impression's sentiment stamp #8614 for my focal image, layering hexagons around it.

Please join me and the other RI Rock Stars and play along with us.  Head on over to The House That Stamps Built and link up your card using Wendy's sketch and you may just be the winner of a gift certificate for some awesome RI stamps.

Look at all this inspiration from my Rock Star team mates.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do hope you'll play along with our WIW Challege.

STAMP OF THE WEEK AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hi blog friends and followers,

It's time for Stamp of the Week at The House That Stamps Built and that means the stamp we're featuring is available to followers of The House That Stamps Built at 50% off the retail cost.  This event happens EVERY Monday, so  become a follower, visit every week and you can get some fabulous rubber for your stamp collection.

This week's Stamp of the Week is this versatile fern stamp.  This simple little stamp can create big focal images and create exceptional design on your cards.

Here's a card I created using this adorable fern #1708-G. Just scroll down the page a bit and you'll see it there.

The base of my card is Pure Luxury CS from Gina K - All Spruced up.  I continued with the challenge from Karen's Designer's Choice Challenge (Using a Score Pal/Buddy) and used my Score Buddy to create the scoring image on white 80# layering weight, PL from GKD.  The Fern is stamped in three different green inks, Memento "New Sprout", "Bamboo Leaves" and "Cottage Ivy".  The sentiment is Repeat Impressions #8607.  (There's time to play along in Karen's challenge and win some RI stamps too.  Click on the link for the details).

Thank you for stopping by and I appreciate (so much) your comments.

Please check out these Rock Stars for more inspiration using the Fern:

A Personal Note:

Before I sign off today, I'd like to dedicate this space to Bess, our beloved German Shepherd who died on Saturday.  She was such a joy to our home and our lives and we will miss her forever.  She was my constant sidekick.  In this photo (taken last month), she was waiting for me to come back from my walk to the mailbox.  She always walked with me but knew she couldn't go beyond a certain point (too close to the road), so she would walk me just to this point, then sit and wait for me.  If any of you have lost a loved pet, you know this grief.

RIP my sweet Bess I will miss you forever.
