It's Wednesday/challenge day from The House That Stamps Built and this week it's a Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge.
My card uses RI Stamps #207-G "Cardinal" , #2708-M "Pine Branch" and the sentiment is #4025-F "Deepest Sympathy".
On a separate white cs scrap, I stamped the pine branch in a dark green dye ink. Using my MISTI, I positioned the cardinal stamp over the branch where I wanted him to sit and stamped him in a dark red dye ink. On the reverse side of the vellum, I colored the cardinal with Copic Markers. I then ran the vellum through a Swiss dot embossing folder for a snowy texture.
Both the vellum piece and the white cs were die cut with an oval frame die and adhered together. I created the background panel by dragging white pigment ink and then a blue ink over a neutral colored card stock layer which gave it a distressed "wood" like appearance. Using the same oval die set, I used the die one size bigger to create the frame for the image.
For dimension, I mounted the cardinal oval on a foam layer before layering it against the frame.
The items I chose from the Tic, Tac, Toe board to create my card are the diagonal from the top to bottom: Use Dimension, Vellum, and Sympathy.
