QUITE A CATCH BLOG HOP

Hi everyone!  Thanks for stopping by.  Gina K released some great new stamp sets last month and this one (Quite a Catch) is sooooo much fun to play with.  I hope you enjoy the hop, and please leave a comment if you'd like to, I love reading them.

I just love this little face.....it's a favorite stamp of mine.  I guess it's because I often relate to the expression, LOL.  Anyway, I thought it would look good stamped with the Warhol Technique and I made it for my cousin's 50th birthday.  He's been having anxiety over turning 50, and I thought this face just gets the message across.  The CS is GKD (nothing better) colors, white, smokey slate, turquoise sea and red hot.  CuttleBug embossing folder and Nesstabilities were also used.

Isn't she a cutie?  I called this one "Fin'cess Fillet".  CS:  GKD Turquoise Sea, Bubble Gum Pink and White.

Have lots of fun seeing what my StampTV friends have created with this stamp set.

Red, White and Blue Challenge

A Blessed Good Day to each of you, my friends!

I'm very excited because one of my friend over at StampTV , Vicki Dutcher, sent me an invitation to play along on a new color challenge at Speedy the Cat's Friends blog.  The challenge is to make a card or project using the colors Red, White and Blue (doesn't have to be patriotic).  When I got the email invite, I was already in the process of creating a card for Gina's new technique challenge at StampTV this week.  Woohoo...a two-fer!!!

My card does happen to be patriotic because memorial day is in a few weeks, and I am from a family of US military patriots that goes all the way back to the Revolutionary War and continues in Iraq and Afghanistan today.   I'm going to send this card to "any hero" at Operation Write Home along with some other cards I've made for them.  It can apply to male or female - as we all know it's not just men putting their lives on the line in our military.

Thanks, Vicki - here's my card.

CS:  GKD Pure Luxury white, In the Navy and Red Hot.  Stamps are GKD Lovely Labels, Guiding Light, by Rupa Shevde and Masculine Messages.  The background letterpress technique is showcased by Gina K at StampTV this week and I used Vivid "Garnet" to get the effect.  Go on over and check it out.

Have a great day!
