CAS CHALLENGE AT OUTLAWZ

Hi blog friends!

Come on over to the Outlawz and play along with the CAS Challenge this week...I think you're going to have some fun with it and there are some great prizes to win too.

The very talented Linda Anderson is challenging us to use pearls on our cards this week....here's her challenge

One of the birthstones for June is the pearl. Let's create a CAS card, any theme, and add some pearls.

So come along and play with us...it's a super easy challenge.

Here's my card

I'm in love with the "Year of Flowers 2" stamp set by Melanie Muenchinger for Gina K Designs.  I used it to create this card for my mother on her 88th birthday, June 7.  My "pearls" were made using one of my favorite tools, the Viva Pearl Pen.  (I think I got a tad carried away with the pearls, but the effect is to simulate airborne textures in a garden).  For the sentiment I also used a GKD stamp set "Bold and Beautiful" (I love that font).

Have a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by.  If you're inspired, I hope you'll stop over at the Outlawz and play along with any of the challenges there....tons of great prizes to win daily.

DESIGNER'S CHOICE CHALLENGE AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hi blog friends!!!

It's Designer's Choice Challenge time again at Repeat Impressions and The House That Stamps Built.  This time it's Karen's challenge and her challenge is a fun fold card.   Here's my card.

This is a real easy fun fold card that I saw here.  For this card I used RI stamps #1402-Y "Portland Head Light",  #2418-E "Sea Shell", #2512-E "Just a Note"  and #8607 "Thanks So Much".

Come on over and play with us as we take on Karen's challenge and if you'll have a chance to win some fabulous RI stamps.  If you use an RI stamp, you'll be entered in the challenge twice, but you don't have to use an RI stamp in order to play.

We can't wait to see what fun fold you come up with.  Please check out my RI Teamies to see their fabulous fun fold cards.

Thank you for stopping by!

STAMPTV CSS INSPIRATION BLOG HOP

Hello blog friends!!!

The StampTV CSS group is here to take you on an inspiration blog hop inspired by super talented Vicki Dutcher -

If you've come here from the very talented Betty's blog you're on track.  If not, link to the BEGINNING and take the hop in sequence and you'll be sure not to miss one fabulous creation using this inspiration.

Here is a card I created inspired by Vicki's photo

I was mostly inspired by the texture and the colors.  I wanted to try and bring in the leafy flourishes, loved the woven bg yet, true to what often happens...what I start with and what I finish with, aren't always the same.  I chose a fun technique in the most recent Technique Junkies Newsletter for the focal bg called "Designer Grouted Tiles" and then chose an older GKD stamp set by Asela Hopkins called "Pretty as a Peacock" which I colored with Copic Markers and "Garden Silhouettes" (for the sentiment).  The papers are GKD Pure Luxury White, Tourquois Sea, Fresh Asperagus and Sweet Corn.

Now take a hop over to my friend and super creative lady, Geri's blog and get a gander at what treat she has in store for you.

Thank you for stopping by - Enjoy the hop!

Hello blog friends!

Get your jammies on, grab your pillows and come'on over to Outlawz CAS challenge for a pillow fight this week....the feathers are flying so jump in and add yours....

It's Pryn's turn to challenge us and here it is - This week's challenge is the "PILLOW FIGHT Challenge"! It's all about FEATHERS!!! Use a feather or something that has feathers (ex. bird, Pocohontas, duster, etc.) on your CAS card or project. It can be ANY theme that your heart desires :) Put on your pajamas (ok, that can be optional), get those pillows swinging and break out some feathers!!!

So come on over and help us toss some feathers around.

Here's my card

For this card I used a stamp set by Gina K Designs "Nesting" by Asela Hopkins.  I colored the feather image with Copics and used a AtYou Spica pen to add some sparkle to them.

I'm so glad you stopped by.
