I have a new card to show you today and a fun way to achieve some interesting rain/water texture.
If you like the stamps I used here and would like to purchase them, you can find them, and many more, in the Technique Junkies Stamp store. Use my personal discount code at check out and get a full 10% off your order TJ10CHERI.
I began this card by inking a light blue card stock panel with various hues of darker blue dye ink. Then, using my MISTI I stamped "Rain Dance" on the panel in VersaFine black pigment ink. I left the stamp in the MISTI and restamped it several times in order to get the depth of darkness I wanted. Once dry, I stamped "City Watercolors" over the first image setting a background.
I let the entire panel dry again and once dry, I took some acrylic white paint and a plastic fork. I dipped the fork into the paint and dragged it arcoss the panel producing the white rain and splashes. It doesn't show well in this photo, but for added sparkle, I sprayed some Iridescent Shimmering Bliss on my craft mat and using the plastic fork, applied it using the same technique....I loved how this turned out.
The sentiment "So She Danced" in black VersaFine pigment ink as well. Done!
I hope you like this and found some inspiration. Try this plastic fork technique and see what you come up with! Have fun!
Here's my discount code, once again, for your happy shopping!!!

I am thinking Gene Kelly and Singing in the Rain!
Simply stunning SS. Love the technique you used to create this fabulous scene. Certainly going to try your fork method. It's brilliant. Hoping to see some badly needed rain here soon.
