Welcome to the July 2018 Technique Junkies Stamps new release blog hop!!!  I'm so happy you came by and I know you're going to find some fabulous inspiration throughout this hop.

All the stamps being released here today will be available at a big discount of 15% until July 8th.  No code necessary....they are automatically discounted in your shopping cart.  More discount goodies....you can get an additional 10% on all other stamps in the Technique Junkies Store by using my personal code of TJ10Cheri.  Just enter it in the little box at checkout and get some happy mail sent your way.

If you've hopped here from the incredibly talented Lee Ann's Blog , you're in the right order.  Didn't you love Lee Ann's creations?  If you missed the previous blogs, you can go back to THE BEGINNING and see all the fabulous talent showing of these awesome stamps.

Stamps used for this card - Floral Mermaid (designed by Rita Barakat), Seashell Borders Set of 2 and Sunflower Sentiments Set of 2 (from the June 2018 release - this is available at 10% off using my discount code TJ10Cheri).  After stamping and coloring the mermaid I made a mask for her.  The background was created by masking and sponging the area around the mermaid creating a light ray with Distress Oxide Inks.  After removing the light ray mask (keeping the mermaid mask in place) I then sponged more ink through a stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called "Double Scales".  Copic Markers were used for coloring.

This card uses "Octopus Face" - I love this stamp.  It makes me laugh.  'Nough said!  Stamped, masked and sponged - done!

Using "Sailing Ship Collage" I wanted to try a fabulous technique called Gel Plate Impressionism by Lydia Fielder .  I didn't get the same results when I stamped the bg, so I just went as far as the bg creation and stamped the image with black dye ink directly onto the bg (not using the gel plate). I loved how it turned out.  I'll keep practicing, it's a fun technique.  To add a touch of dimension to the layer, I added some Glossy Accents to the compass and then a patina bead in the center.

Thanks for stopping by....now head on over to Stephanie's blog.  She's another incredibly talented card maker (I'm surrounded by them on this team) and you will love what she has to show you.

Don't forget to grab the JULY RELEASE STAMPS you'd like before July 8th for a 15% discount.  All other stamps (including Ken Oliver Color Bust Powders) can be purchased for a 10% discount by using my discount code.

Lovely work on all three cards, Cheri! I love the doodling in the mermaid's tail and the nautical theme of this release. Fabulous!

SO pretty Cheri! I love that the mermaid is on the sea floor and looking up into that ray so clever!

OMGosh, I freaking love that octopus sentiment! *Need* that one!!! Have a friend that moved away and has now moved back, and is going through a tough time too... she needs a laugh. She came back to be surrounded by friends during her tough times. This is perfect for her! Adding this to my stamp order as I hop along!!! TFS!

3 Fabulous show and tell cards SS. Your mermaid is beautifully coloured and love that background. Love the simplicity of the second one. Fun sentiment. That sail ship collage is awesome with another cool background.
