There's a new challenge at The House That Stamps Built and this week it's an inspiration challenge.
For this card, I used RI Stamp #9205-O "Hydrangea" from the "Beautiful Days" collection. I stamped the image with Versamark embossing ink on a piece of Ranger watercolor paper and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Using Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils I colored layers of color on the petals and leaves. I fussy cut (with my art knife) the little bee and then used an oval die to cut the image with a technique called "Out of the Box" die cutting. When the coloring and cutting was done, I layered it against another oval die cut in dark purple.
I mounted the ovals against an embossed background layer I created using a We R Memory Keepers "next level" basket weave embossing folder. The sentiment is a portion of the RI Stamp#2501-H "Happy Birthday From..." which I also stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white ep.
Here is the inspiration palette and I hope you'll join the challenge this week at The House. All the details can be found there for entering and what you could win.
