Hi there blogger friends,
Well, Hurricane Irene came to visit and she blew extremely high winds and brought lots of rain, but by the time she got here, she was downgraded to a tropical storm. We only had downed limbs and some trees around our home, but so many in the Adirondacks in Upstate New York and Vermont and other outlying areas had much worse; flooding, erosion and damaged property. So glad Irene is gone.
I haven't created a 3-D project in a long time, but over at JUGS this week there's a "Back to School 3-D Challenge" and I just had to play along.

Also, over at Gingersnapcreations their color challenge (which is ongoing until September 25) is featuring Primary Colors (Red, Yellow and Blue) in your projects. A perfect matchup for a "back to school" theme.
While I've never created a "Star Book" before I found a YouTube Tutorial on a mini star book and decided to give it a try. I will post several photos of it, as I wanted to be sure a few of the pages got in as well as a photo of the book closed and then opened into a star.
The images cut and pieced are all from the new Graphic 45 papers "An ABC Primer Collection. The stamps are from Gina K Designs "Perfect Pennants" illustrated by Tami Mayberry and "Whimsical Autumn" illustrated by Carolyn King. Also used DI, "Victorian Velvet" and "Walnut Stain". Stickers from Webster's Pages.
I had so much fun creating this book and I can't wait to make others.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I would love to hear your comments on my Star Book creation.
Happy creating and stamping!
Cheri
