STAMP OF THE WEEK AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

This week's Stamp of the Week is this versatile fern stamp.  This simple little stamp can create big focal images and create exceptional design on your cards.  

Here's a card I created using this adorable fern #1708-G. Just scroll down the page a bit and you'll see it there.   

The base of my card is Pure Luxury CS from Gina K - All Spruced up.  I continued with the challenge from Karen's Designer's Choice Challenge (Using a Score Pal/Buddy) and used my Score Buddy to create the scoring image on white 80# layering weight, PL from GKD.  The Fern is stamped in three different green inks, Memento "New Sprout", "Bamboo Leaves" and "Cottage Ivy".  The sentiment is Repeat Impressions #8607.  (There's time to play along in Karen's challenge and win some RI stamps too.  Click on the link for the details).

A Personal Note:

Before I sign off today, I'd like to dedicate this space to Bess, our beloved German Shepherd who died on Saturday.  She was such a joy to our home and our lives and we will miss her forever.  She was my constant sidekick.  In this photo (taken last month), she was waiting for me to come back from my walk to the mailbox.  She always walked with me but knew she couldn't go beyond a certain point (too close to the road), so she would walk me just to this point, then sit and wait for me.  If any of you have lost a loved pet, you know this grief.

RIP my sweet Bess I will miss you forever.



Designer's Choice Challenge at Repeat Impressions

It's designer's choice challenge once again at The House That Stamps Built and it's the talented Karen's turn to challenge us.  Her challenge is to use your ScorePal and create a project with some scoring.  Great challenge Karen. 

My card for Karen's challenge is CAS.

I love that simple dandelion stamp "Dandelion Breeze" #9012-M.  The sentiment is #415-H. 

My scoring is a triple score on all four sides of the focal layer.

STAMP OF THE WEEK - REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Here we are with another fantastic stamp offered as the Stamp of the Week at Repeat Impressions and The House That Stamps Built. 
It's often difficult to find the perfect sentiment for a pet stamp, but not at Repeat Impressions....Wendy has a lot of them and you're sure to find exactly what you need for your collection of stamps. 
The stamp we're featuring this week is one of my favorites....I use it a lot!!! 

You can find this great stamp #6203-I sentiment HERE (just pan down the page a little ways) and it's being offered to the RI followers at 50% off this week only.  All animal lovers will want to have this stamp in their collection.  The cute dog image is #8104-I "Happy Puppy".   

My card is a very quick and easy card to make, and I used a take on the "Warhol technique" .  After stamping the puppy image on scraps of cs, I used the 2" Spellbinder Nesstabilities Classic square dies to cut it out.  I then layered them against another scrap of black cs and then onto my kraft base.  I had a tiny scrap of ribbon so I added a "bow tie" embellishment.

CAS AT THE OUTLAWZ

Hi blog friends and followers!!! 

Seems like for-EVER since I've posted anything.  It's been busy around the old farm here - the veggie garden is producing so there's lots to harvest and it sure keeps us busy. 

Have you been playing along with the challenges at The Outlawz??  It's a fun and fabulous challenge site with so many ways to win outstanding prizes. 

It's CAS DT member Stepanie Mino's turn to challenge us this week and she is celebrating with a back to school theme.  She'd like us to add an item we'd see at school on our cards - like an apple, pencil, crayon, school bus....you get the idea. 

Our CAS guest designer for the month of August is the ubar talented Roxie.  If you get a chance, pay her a visit and give her some love. 

My grandson, Philip, starts Kindergarten this year (I can't even get my head around that) so I made him this card - and of course my school item is the ruler. 

The fab stamp is cute, Luka from LaLa Land Crafts - I'm in love with their images -they're so much fun to color.
