SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Hello there, Junkies!

There's so much creativity going on using Technique Junkies Stamps as well as our FaceBook Page.  There's also a Technique Junkies YouTube Channel, hosted by our creator, Pat Huntoon where she demonstrates lots of techniques for card makers.  Check them all out.

We also have a monthly challenge. (This month it's an adorable sketch)  In order to win this challenge you must use Technique Junkies Stamps in your creation.  You say you don't have any TJ stamps?  Well....I have a 10% discount code (TJ10CHERI) which will let you get 10% off every and/or any stamps you want in the store.

Here's how you do it - Shop.Use my discount Code TJ10Cheri.Get Your Stamps.Join Challenge.Enter to Win $25.00 worth of more fabulous TJ Stamps.  BTW...my discount also applies to Ken Oliver ColorBurst Pigment Powders.   YAY!!!

I'm sharing a card with you today using some of those powders to make my background and an awesome stamp from the February 2018 Release called "Something Different".

I used water color paper to create my background.  I started with a water wash and mixed my pigments on a palette before adding them to the panal.  I love how those powders have tiny fragments of different colors (see the greens and blues) within them.  You never know what you'll get and I love that spontaneity of this.  I used Adirondack Pesto ink to stamp the image using my MISTI.  After I got that image, I moved the card panel barely 1/16th inch and stamped it again in Versafine "Toffee" color ink for a yellowish "shadow".  I used NUVO citrus green mousse with water to color the inside of the butterfly....what happened is it lifted the pigment bg but left a pretty sheen.  I love happy accidents.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you found some inspiration and I hope to see you on our FaceBook page and in our challenge.  Don't forget, you can use my discount to get those stamps you want and need for our challenge.

Gorgeous stamp SS and that background is a stunner. I bet it looks sooooooo much nicer IRL. The splaters and sequins looks just great too. Those powders are addictive aren't they? I have just ordered a couple of sets of magicals and can't wait to use them together. Got to play with them at my bff's house recently.
