DESIGNER'S CHOICE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE

Hi there blog friends!

The new Designer's Choice Challenge at The House That Stamps Built is hosted by Deonna this week.  Her challenge is monochromatic using brown, white, black.

The stamps I used for this card are RI#4314-K "Flowering Vine" and RI#6103-J "Thinking Vertical".  I first embossed the flowering vine image on black card stock with white pigment ink and clear embossing powder and then cut them into inch size squares and mounted them on brown cs.  I added little white dots with my white gel pen in order to give the image interest and dimension.  I used a punch to create the edging and added the white gel dots to the edge of that too.  The sentiment was also stamped in white pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I used a CuttleBug embossing folder for some back ground texture and more dimension.

I hope you'll come over and join the challenge, you can get all the detail at The House.

This week we're welcoming two new Rock Stars to the team, Kathy Stacy and Debbie Fisher.  Super talented ladies.  Check out all the Rock Stars and help us welcome Kathy and Debbie.

The Clean and Simple challenge this week is this:

With the countdown of the New Year behind us, we are all focusing on a making it the best one yet.  This week's challenge will focus on numbers...25th anniversaries, 16th birthdays, 8th grade graduations, "Top 3" lists...to name a few.  Whatever the  CAS card or project theme, it must have a number represented and must be true to the CAS style.

Here's my card for the challenge

Stamps used:  Snow Day by Lawn Fawn, (and matching dies), Count on It and Love Notes, both by Averyelle.  Other dies:  Stitched Rectangles by Lil'Inker Designs and Landscape Trio by Mama Elephant.  Card Stock is White Linen by Ellen Hutson, Kraft and Cranberry Tart by Gina K Designs.  Inks are VersaFine
