A Precious Card from Hazel

One of the most exciting and endearing things that has happened since I joined StampTV as a member in May  of 2009, is the collection of wonderful friendships I've developed from all over the world.  Hazel Basnett is one.  She lives in Australia and has an amazing life's story (which I'm trying to convince her to publish....it's that good).  My birthday was in mid-May and a week later, out of nowhere came this incredible card from Australia.  Hazel, I love you dearly and thank you so much for this gorgeous and thoughtful card.  (Here's to the Andrews Sister!!!)

Hazel has a lovely blog.....pay her a visit, I'm sure she'd love to hear from you.
As Hazel would say,
Love and Light

Thank you retiring StampTV Challenge Hostesses

There's a hop going on over at StampTV tonight.  They're honoring the retiring StampTV challenge hostesses for the past three months;  Tina Gilliland, Vicki Dutcher, Sharri Seffens and Karen Knegten.    Check it out.

Here are card/project examples that I made, selected from my gallery at StampTV, to showcase their challenges

Tina Gilliland came up with a color challenge using kraft, red and ivory.  I made this card for her.

This was a Vicki Dutcher sketch challenge card.

Karen Knegten challenged us to make anything but a card each week.  This gift bag was one of her challenges.

Sharri Seffens hosted Blast from the Past challenges.  Gina K has so many very cool tutorials on the StampTV website and a blast from the past challenge was about her past tutorial postings.  It was a great way to revisit some tutorials.  This particular challenge was for a shaker card and she challenged us to add "something different" to the shaker idea.  I used feathers.....they don't shake much.  Loved making the card though!

Thanks for stopping and I hope you'll check out the great postings at the StampTV Forum.

Have a great day!

Card Patterns Sketch 69 - Alexa is 2

Where does the time go???  (The age old question, heh?)

Our granddaughter, Alexa Bethany will be 2 years old on Saturday, June 26 and it seems like only yesterday that we were waiting for "the call" that she had arrived!

I made this card for Alexa using the newest sketch challenge 69 over at Card Patterns - where, one of my StampTV friends, Karen Kngeten has been selected as one of the guest designers this week.  (Way to go, Karen)

CS:  GKD Pure Luxury Sweet Corn, Bubble Gum Ivory and Turquoise Sea.  DP:  October Afternoon "Ducks in a Row" and "Report Card".  Stamps:  GKD "Sweetest Blessings".  Nestabilities, CuttleBug, Copics, Pop Dots and Stickles were used also assorted ribbonss and Vivid Ink, "Bahama Blue".

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Have a great week ahead.
