It's Designer's Choice Challenge at Repeat Impressions/The House That Stamps Built and this time Joyce is challenging us to create a BOLD and colorful card. It's a real "pick-me-up" challenge for us who suffer from cabin fever and long for some bright and happy colors covering our craft tables.
Here's my card for Joyce's challenge
This card was made using RI stamp # 9001-L Butterfly Lg. I stamped him twice. First on a piece of card stock and colored in the wings with Copic Markers. I stamped him again on vellum using VersaMark ink and embossed him in clear ep and again colored the wings with the same colors of the cs butterfly. I then glued the vellum butterfly to the cs butterfly and the results were amazing! The camera doesn't pick it up here, but the butterfly looks like fine porcelin. I have to try this technique again with another image it's quite a dramatic look. The dp is from the fabulous paper pack by DCWV "Mariposa" and the sketch was one I found in CardMaker's Sektch Book I bought on sale at Annie's Attic.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you'll join me and my Rock Star Teamies and create a card for Joyce's challenge. If you do, enter it in the linked in area at The House and you'll be entered to win a $25.00 gift certificate for some of RI's fabulous stamps.
