CSSDT Alumni Sketch Blog Hop

Hi there, and WELCOME to the StampTV Center Stage Spotlight Design Team Sketch Blog Hop!

For this sketch challenge we are using this sketch I showcased in the CSSDT Alumni Color Blog Hop.

This is such a fun sketch and I thought of so many card ideas I could make with it.  I was limited in time so I wasn't able to get too creative.  However, I did manage to get two cards done for this hop and I hope you like them and give this sketch a try for yourself.

CS:  GKD White and In the Navy.
DP:  Graphic 45, "Domestic Goddes" Collection.
Stamps:  GKD Showtime "Signs of Autumn" and "Picture It".  I stamped the flower stamp twice, coloring them with Copics.  I cut  out one full image but only the flowers on the second one.  I popped the individual flowers on top of the stamped image as I arranged them.  The apples in the basket image were cut off and I put the sunflowers in their place.
I used my Sakura Glaze Pen to highlight the centers of the flowers.  Ribbon is also from GKD.

My second card is a pink Christmas Card, and my mom, (who has Alzheimer's) helped me select the dp for this card.  She was quite pleased with it.

CS:  GKD, White, Bubble Gum Pink and Cranberry Tart.
DP:  Basic Grey "Euphoria".
Stamps:  GKD Showtime Stamp Kit, "Blessed is the Season"  The dp piece is popped up with pop-dots to give the trees some dimension.
I used a technique Gina K demonostrated on StampTV called "Drop Shadow" when stamping the tree image.  Inks are Distress Inks "Spun Sugar" and "Victorian Velvet".  The ribbon is colored with Copic markers in order to match the color theme.  The trees were highlighted with Sakura Gelly Roll Pen for some icy glitter.

NOW, HOP ON OVER TO THE VERY TALENTED GIOVANA SMITH'S BLOG TO SEE HER GORGEOUS SKETCH REVEALED.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

I Chair-Ish You

Happy Tuesday!!!!

I'm posting a card I made for an inspiration challenge this week over at StampTV.  For one reason or another, it was a difficult challenge for me.  I just couldn't get my mojo working.  Here's the challenge example.

And herrrres my card

I used inspiration from the colors and the circles in the photo.  The CS is GKD pure luxury white, chocolate kiss, green apple and red hot.  I stamped the chair using the GKD set "Fine Furnishings", designed by Nina Brackett, onto dp by October Afternoon "The Thrift Shop".  I use Nestabilities Standard Circles Large and cut graduated circles in each color.  I then arranged them in staggering layers to make it look as if you were looking through a tunnel. I also used the CuttleBug Folder "Polka Dots" to emboss each color of card stock.  More circles!!! Hahaha.

Thanks for stopping by, and I welcome your comments,
Cheri

A WINNER

Yahoo,

I won a challenge over at StampTV this past week.  I won in Giovana's Christmas Challenge, which was to use stitching on a Christmas card.  I don't have a sewing machine set up (although I have 2 of them), so I used a stamp set from
Gina K for faux stitching.  Here's the card:

I won a free GKD stamp set of my choice so I chose "Fairy Tales" by Tami.  I'm going to have some fun with that set but it wasn't an easy choice.

Have fun stamping!!!
