OUTLAWZ CAS CHALLENGE

Hi blog friends!!!

I'm hosting the CAS challenge at Outlawz this week.  If you get a chance, come on over and play along.

Here's the challenge:

"Bright November Color Challenge" - November is a grey and drab month here in Maine, USA....all the bright and glorious colors  of summer and fall have left for warmer and sunnier areas and it's going to be many months before they return.  It's personal....I want to fill this week with bright colors......use one, some or all of these five colors and brighten up the week - Green, Yellow, Orange, Pink, Blue.  Combine them or use them alone, just keep it CAS and BRIGHT!

The design team has created some fantastic cards for the challenge.  I hope you will check them out.

Here's the inspiration for my card:  a few years ago my husband and I took a cruise and one of the ports we landed at was Curacao.  The image of the colorful buildings lined against the edge of the ocean and against the bright sky stays in my memory today.

This is not my photo....I took this from the Internet - however, my photo looks much like this.

Because I'm trying to develop my CAS skills using dark backgrounds, I decided to try my hand using this inspiration using a nighttime image.

I hope to see you over at Outlawz this week and I hope you'll play along in the CAS challenge.

Thanks for stopping by,

WHAT IF? WEDNESDAY AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hello my friends!

It's WIW time at Repeat Impressions and The House That Stamps Built!!!  Have you played before?  Don't you love it????  If you haven't, give it a try and have some fun and possibly win $25.00 worth of FABULOUS stamps from Repeat Impressions.

What if? Wednesday happens every other Wednesday.  Wendy (owner and stamp designer) creates a sketch and challenges her design team to create a card using the sketch with Repeat Impressions Stamps.  It's fun.  If you like a challenge and like sketch designs, join us.  You don't have to use an RI stamp, but if you do, you'll be entered into the drawing twice.  You can head on over to The House That Stamps Built for all the details.

In the meantime....here's this WIW sketch challenge

Here's a card I created using the WIW sketch.

For my card I used RI Stamps #512-H Apple Basket and colored the image with Copic Markers and used Glossy Accents to shine up the apples.  I created a little "water color" accent under the apple basket with Copics.  I liked how that turned out.  Instead of lining up the half pearls, I wanted to angle them, and I like how it looks.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you'll find some time to play along with us.

Check out the Rock Stars for more inspiration
