Hello house friends....it's Wednesday!  Are you up for another awesome challenge from The House That Stamps Built????

It's an Anything Goes challenge and that means....you can create what you want to create.  Yippppeeeee!!!

I used RI Stamps #4401-O "Dragonfly (lg), #4314-K "Flowering Vine" and #2512-E "Just To Say".

I stamped the dragonfly and border flowers in VersaMark and then heat embossed it with white ep. I sponged Distress Inks around them and added shadows with Inktense pencils.  The sentiment was stamped on black card stock with Versamark and heat embossed again with white ep.

Play along with us.....my awesome team mates would love to show you what they've done for ATG this week....check out their blogs

A DUSKY CITYSCAPE

Hello Technique Junkies!!!!

What a busy and exciting month May has been for us!  First, we had the awesome new release of stamps for this month on May 1st, and then last week we rolled out a new line of stamps from Technique Junkies Stamps newest illustrator, Rita Barakat

All stamps from the Technique Junkies stores, as well as the new stamps from both releases can be purchased with a full 10% off discount if you use my personal discount code of TJ10Cheri.  Go for a fun filled shopping trip and get yourself some happy mail.  (My discount can also be used on Ken Oliver Colorburst Powders)

One of the many fab stamps from the new May 2018 release was City Watercolors .  There are so many ways to create with this stamp and my card shows only one.

Using a white cardstock panel, I stamped the image in a brown dye ink.  I then sponged around it with Distress Oxide Inks which gave the look of a late afternoon sunset.  I used some Chameleon Colortone Pencils to highlight various objects in the scene and then, with a white gel pen, I went around the outside of the buildings and other structures.  This final step gave it a more sketchy look as well as enhancing the stamped image.  This is truly a fun stamp to have in your collection.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you found some inspiration.  Here's my discount code one more time and a few reminders.

MY PICK OF THE WEEK FOR MAY 2018 FOR REPEAT IMPRESSIONS STAMPS

Hello everyone!

It's my turn to select stamps for my "Pick of the Week" from Repeat Impressions and The House That Stamps Built.

Since spring and summer are now upon us, so many of us are turning our thoughts to our gardens.  Repeat Impressions has some fabulous floral and gardening stamps and I love playing with the ones that I have.

I wanted to show you how I build a scene card with a collection of stamps with a garden theme in mind, so here are the stamps I chose and these are my stamp picks for this week:  RI#4317-E "Birdhouse", RI#4311-I, "Birdbath", RI#4312-G "Watering Can", RI#2614-D "Tiny Bird Front", RI#2616-D "Tiny Bird Side", RI#2617 "Tiny Bird Flight", RI#630-H "Iris" and RI#1101-F "Happy Retirement".

Scene stamping isn't as daunting as many think, but it takes time to set up the scene and complete the process.  I find it fun and challenging.

After selecting my stamps, the first thing I do is make a mask of the stamps I'll be using. I like to use stamping mask paper rather than Post-it Notes, because I save them and sometimes get an extra mask out of it later on.

The most important thing about scene stamping is to determine which image will be in front of all the other images and stamp that first.

You then add additional  images in the sequence they should appear in your scene.

Once you've stamped your collective images, you can add other images you might like in your scene and complete your card as you wish.

Remember, you can get my Pick of the Week Stamps at 20% off , but for one week only.

Head on over to the Repeat Impressions Store and shop away!!!  You can get an an additional 10% off all other stamps you might need/want if you use my coupon code RR10CW.  Have fun shopping!!!
