Happy Easter

Happy Easter blog friends,

He is Risen!!!

Easter is a favorite observance day for me.  I value the memories of Easter Sunday on Lake Champlain, getting up before dawn and going to sunrise service.  The service was held at a beautiful spot overlooking the lake and while the sun rose over the Vermont Green Mountains the people gathered for the service would sing, those great old hymns of ressurection and hope of life everlasting.
I shared these moments all those years ago with some cherished family members and friends who are no longer with us, yet, the promise of ressurection assures us we will all be together again in the glory of a risen savior.
I wish you all a blessed Easter.

The stamps I used for this card are from GKD and it's called "Easter Blessings".  The technique is one I just did for Through the Craftroom Door online magazine.  This magazine is loaded with tutorials and outstanding paper craft ideas.  If you're not a subscriber, you can be so easily.  Check it out.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Designer's Choice Challenge at Repeat Impressions

Hello blog friends.....it's springtime in the USA....it arrived last week and this is what it looked like in Maine

So, when Geri,  our awesome Rock Star teamie at The House That Stamps Built challenged us to "spring flowers" it was like a breath of fresh air!!!  When you think "spring time" you don't often think of snow.  Thanks Geri.....we're all so ready for flowers and springtime.

So, think spring flowers with us.....join Geri in her challenge.   Link your creation to the DCC challenge at The House That Stamps Built.  If you use a RI stamp in your project, you'll be entered twice in a chance to win $25.00 worth of fabulous RI stamps.

Here's my card

I used RI Stamp #1317-L "Vase of Tulips".  I stamped and "painted" (with nibs) the image on LaBlanche Specialty Paper (LOVE IT) with Distress inks and sponged a soft background with DI too.  I can't describe how beautiful this is...it looks 3 dimensional.  The image was then cut with Spellbinder Nestabilitie Classic and Scalloped oval dies.

Please drop by allthe RI Rock Stars for more Springtime Flower inspiration and enjoy the spring flower show.

STAMPTV CSS CAS WITH SPARKLE BLOG HOP

Hi there blog friends....the StampTV CSS (center stage spotlight) group is here with another blog hop.  The challenge is to create CAS (clean and simple) card or project and to use only embellishments that sparklea and to use only GKD stamp sets from September 2012 to February 2013.

You're invited to hop with us when you do, make sure to leave a comment as you go along because we will choose a random comment and that stamper will win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! Look for the announcement on Tuesday, April 2.

If you've come here from the extremely talented Brenda's blog you're in the right place in the hop, if not, then you may want to start HERE at the beginning and see each and every sensational creation from this talented group.

Here is my CAS card - with bling - using Stately Flowers 6 by Melanie Muenchinger.

The stamp I used from this set is "Mountain Laurel".  I truly kept this card CAS, I wanted those flowers to show and I kept the bling subtle.  The background was created using M-bossiblites.  The die frame is from MFT.  The dp is from the 6x6 paper pack from My Minds Eye "Lost and Found".

Now, it's time to head on over to the fabulous Geri's blog and see what she has created.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please join us in this challenge and post your CAS with bling, creations to the Forum link.
