STAMP TV CENTER STAGE ALUMNI HOP

Welcome to a fun blog hop being hosted by members of StampTV Center Stage Alumni.  I was so fortunate and honored when back in December of 2009, I was chosen to become a member of StampTV's Center Stage Spotlight Design Team.   What a fabulous group of ladies this is and I'm so grateful to be considered a part of this very talented team.

A few of us have decided to get together a couple of times a month and host a themed hop in order to share our love for Gina K. stamps. If you've arrived from Carolina Buchting  then you're at the right place! To start at the beginning, please go to StampTV and hop from there.

The challenge for this hop is a Color Challenge ~ Kraft or Tan Leather, Green (Creme de Menthe, Grass Green, Fresh Asparagus, or Green Apple) and White. Here's what I came up with:

Card base is GKD PL Kraft, layered with Fresh Asparagus.  DP is Basic Grey, "Green at Heart".  The border embossing was done with Cuttlebug and I punched out the flower centers with MS punch then used pearls for accent.  I used Nestabilities labels 9 on PL White and layered with Green Apple.  Sentiment is from GKD Botanicals stamp set.
Here's another one:

I chose to do a little distressing on this card.  The card base is GKD PL White, using Kraft for layering.  I stamped the flowers and sentiment from the GKD "Friends are Forever" stamp set.  The flowers are colored with Copics YG00, YG03, E31 and Y32.  Using a ScoreBug I textureized the GKD Creme de Menthe CS then sponged Distress Ink "Antique Linen" to distress it.  Using a Nestabilities classic circle, I cut into the CS, leaving the 1/2 circle effect and used Popdots to pop it off the white CS.  The buttons were made using Gina's technique of distressed newsprint (only I used a page from an old book), clear buttons and 3D Crystal Lacquer to adhere them to the distressed book print.  I then attached them onto some crocheted old lace edging.

Thanks for stopping by.  I welcome all comments, so I hope you'll leave me a little note.   Have fun at the hop!    Ready for more inspiration? Hop on over to the very talented Giovana Smith's blog to see her beautiful project!
