MARCH 2019 TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello House fans!!!!

We've got a Tic, Tax, Toe Challenge for you at The House That Stamps Built this week.  Come on over and play along!

I colored all images with Copic Markers.  The box and box top were masked and stamped to get the arrangment I desired.

I fussy cut the bouquet from the vase of tulip stamp and adhered it to the box so it would appear coming from the box.

The inside of the box was paper pieced with scraps of paper (although that's a little hard to see in the photo).  The sentiment is a partial of the full sentiment.

I added some sparkle with a Viva Glitter pen.

Here is the TTT board for this challenge, I used the left-hand side verticle line: Birthday, Green and Paper Piecing.

Come on over to THE HOUSE and play along....this is a fun TTT board!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you found some inspiration.

JANUARY 2019 TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hey there House friends!!!!

I hope you had a chance to play along with Esther's designer choice challenge last week at The House That Stamps Built.  If not...there's plenty of time, you have all month to get into every Wednesday challenge before a winner for a $25.00 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions is drawn.

Today it's the month's Tic, Tac, Toe challenge.  You know the drill...pick three items in a row and create a card or project and have fun!

Here's a card I made with the selections from the TTT board

Creating this card was such fun...I love it when you never know where it's going when you start a project and it somehow ends up looking pretty cool.  (So, now you know, I'm not a planner.  More of a "fly by the seat of your pants" kinda gal.)

I first stamped the Ruffled Heart image on black card stock with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  Before coloring the image I made a mask and splattered white guache around the bg.  I then colored the ruffle with white PrismaColor pencils adding black in the dark folds.

The heart ruffle was stamped again on white card panel, the sentiment was added and then stenciled with "Scribbled Rose" stencil from A Colorful Life by lightly sponging Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks, giving it a satiny look.  That piece was then fussy cut and applied to the center of the black image.

For a final touch of dimension I added Enamel Accents in black to represent pearls in the gathers of the pillow.

Here's the challenge TTT board.  I followed the row across the middle (L-R) Black and/or White, Thank you, Dimension.  Let's see what you can do with this board.

You will not be disappointed if you check out my team mates blogs and their creations...prepare to be blown away.

Join our TTT Challenge this week and enter yourself in the drawing for some fabulous stamps from Repeat Impressions.  The details can be found at THE HOUSE.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you found some inspiration here today.

DECEMBER 2018 TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE FROM THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hellooo House friends!!!!

Welcome to another Wednesday challenge from The House That Stamps Built.  Today we're having a Tic, Tac, Toe challenge.  You select three items from the board in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal position and create a card or project using those three items.

From the board below, I selected the three items in the first horizontal line.  Sparkle, Penguins and patterned paper.  The stamps I chose are RI#8806-N "Christmas Penguins" and the sentiment is RI#8803-F "Coolest Christmas".

The Penguins were stamped then colored with Copic Markers then masked off in order to sponge a dye ink background.  Once the mask was removed, I used a Nuvo glitter marker to draw around the outer edge to make a frame for the sparkle and adhered the panel to a piece of polka dot patterend paper and then onto a card base.  Very easy card to make.  For some sparkly snow, I added dots of the Nuvo glitter marker on the penguin panel.

Come on over and play the game of Tic, Tac, Toe along with myself and my Rock Star team mates.  Detail on how to enter can be found at THE HOUSE.

Look at the blogs of my team mates and see their incredible creations.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and feel free to grab my discount coupon (RR10CW) if you'd like to purchase yourself some Repeat Impressions Stamps.  Using it will discount your stamp order 10%.

SEPTEMBER 2018 TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello there House fans!

It's Wednesday/challenge day from The House That Stamps Built and this week it's a Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge.

My card uses RI Stamps #207-G "Cardinal" , #2708-M "Pine Branch" and the sentiment is #4025-F "Deepest Sympathy".

On a separate white cs scrap, I stamped the pine branch in a dark green dye ink. Using my MISTI, I positioned the cardinal stamp over the branch where I wanted him to sit and stamped him in a dark red dye ink.  On the reverse side of the vellum, I colored the cardinal with Copic Markers.  I then ran the vellum through a Swiss dot embossing folder for a snowy texture.

Both the vellum piece and the white cs were die cut with an oval frame die and adhered together.  I created the background panel by dragging white pigment ink and then a blue ink over a neutral colored card stock layer which gave it a distressed "wood" like appearance.  Using the same oval die set, I used the die one size bigger to create the frame for the image.

For dimension, I mounted the cardinal oval on a foam layer before layering it against the frame.

The items I chose from the Tic, Tac, Toe board to create my card are the diagonal from the top to bottom:  Use Dimension, Vellum, and Sympathy.

I hope you found some inspiration here today.  You'll find tons more on my team mates blogs.  Here are their links:

AUGUST 2018 TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello house friends!

There's a new challenge at The House That Stamps Built and it's the Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge.  I hope you'll come on over and play along with us.

The object of this challenge is that you pick an item from any direction (diagonally, horizontally or vertically) and create a card or project using those items.  My card uses Repeat Impressions Stamps from the "Wine Time" set and from the Tic, Tac, Toe board I used the first vertical line; Use Dimension, Off the Edge and Shimmer or Sparkle.

I stamped the wine glass on a separate piece of white card stock and colored it with copic markers and then sprayed it with new Iridescent Shimmer Bliss Spray from Technique Junkies.  I then prepared the background panel.

I stamped the grapes along an edge that I had penciled in and used masks to cover each stamping in order to get the grouping of the grapes.  They were then colored with Copic Markers and I fussy cut around the edges where I'd stamped the grapes off the penciled mark.

Keeping the masks in place, I sponged around the grape images and added a gold border around the panel with my Wink of Stella gold glitter pen.  The sentiment was added and the glass of wine was adhered with foam mounting for the added dimension.  Finally, a few sequins for fun.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you'll visit the blogs of my very talented team mates for so much more inspiration.

I hope to see you in the challenge.  If you do, you will be entered in the drawing for a a $25.00 gift certificate for Repeat Impressions Stamps.  All the details can be found at THE HOUSE.

JULY 2018 TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello house friends!

We have a new challenge for you at The House That Stamps Built and this week, it's the Tic, Tac, Toe challenge.  Come on over and play along.  All you have to do is create a card or project that uses elements from the tic, tac, toe board, across, up and down or diagonal.

My card uses this fun cupcake stamp RI#9302-P "Cupcakes",  and RI#1113-D "Birthday", which I cut in half and used side-by-side.  My design uses two directions on the TTT board.  Upper row across; texture, food, sponging and the left side diagonal; sponging, fun fold and primary colors.

The fun fold is called "Corner Flip" and I found a tutorial which I used on YouTube.  It's an easy fold and makes an interesting card design.

Join me and my team mates for the challenge this week.  They have some fabulous TTT projects to show you....check out their blogs.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  See you at the challenge!  The details on how to join and what you might win can be found at THE HOUSE.

APRIL 2018 TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello house friends!

It's Wednesday and a new challenge is ready for you at The House That Stamps Built.  It's a Tic, Tac, Toe challenge and I think you know the drill, but just in case you don't, you create a card or project from three elements on the graphic in either a horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction.  It's easy and it's fu.  For me, it's usually a great way to use up some scraps.

This card formed from that pink scalloped die cut that was sitting in my box of paper scraps.  I stamped RI#2605-P "Ode to Spring" in a light pink dye ink one white card stock and colored it with my Chameleon Color Tone Pencils.  I then cut it out using the next smallest scalloped die from the same set as the one I started with.  I have had the CuddleBug "swiss dots" embossing folder for eons and thought it would make a nice background layer.  The sentiment is a combination of RI#3906-H "Easter Blessings" and RI#1304-J "Beauty of Springtime".    Finally, I added some tiny dots with Ranger's enamel accents in white around the pink scalloped oval.

From the tic, tac, toe chart, I selected the three elements right across the top of the chart; gems/pearls, bunnies and pink.

Come on over to THE HOUSE and join in on the challenge. You can find all the details on how to enter and what you might win there.

MARCH 2018 TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello House Friends!

It's the second Wednesday of the month and that means a Tic, Tac, Toe challenge at The House That Stamps Built.

I colored the image with Copic Markers (no big surprise there). The Washi border really gives the image a nice grounding and I decided to pop the sentiment up on dimensional tape as well as adding some red enamel dots, which completed the TTT requirements.   The TTT chart is below and from the grid and my card you can see I used Washi Tape, Use Dimension and Cats.

So, come on over and show us what you've created from this board.  The details of the challenge and what you could win can be found at THE HOUSE.

Take a gander at these other fabulous blogs from my team mates and their fabulous TTT creations.

FEBRUARY 2018 TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Happy Valentine's Day, house friends

So glad you're here for the Tic, Tac, Toe challenge at The House That Stamps Built.  I think you're going to love this board, it has a lot of creative options.  My card is not a Valentine's card, but it has flowers and recently I've been in a "floral" kind of mind set.

My card uses RI Stamps #912-K "Tulip Bouquet" and the sentiment is RI#9206-H "Beautiful Days" (one of my favorite all time sets).  I stamped the flowers in various positions along the outside of the card panel and colored them with Copic Markers.  I used a scalloped frame die from MFT blueprints.

As I've said, I've been in such a "flower" mood lately and am really enjoying creating my own virtual card garden during these cold, snowy Maine days.

I hope you found some inspiration here and will play along.  Here's the challenge board:  My card uses all the elements from the vertical right-hand side - pastel colors, Stitching (faux), flowers.

So what will you create with our TTT challenge?

Need more inspiration?  Well just take a look at these blogs of my team mates.

Visit THE HOUSE and get all the details for entering this challenge and strut your stuff in our TTT challenge this week.

Don't forget...our challenges are open all month, so you can enter every challenge for multiple times to win the $25.00 GC for Repeat Impressions Stamps.  In other words....the more you enter, the more chances you have of winning.

JANUARY 2018 - TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello house friends!!!

Here we are with a new challenge for you from The House That Stamps Built - the second one this month - and today it's the popular TTT challenge.  Did you have a chance to play in our Designer's Choice Challenge from last week?  If not, you still have time - in fact you can get in all the challenges we offer each week until the month closes.

Disclaimer:  We have been having some horrible weather these past few weeks and it's been very cloudy.  This photo of my card doesn't compliment it well, it looks better in real life.  That said, I chose the first vertical row for my card, (gems, water colors, off the edge)  However, as you can see, I also got the horizontal middle row (water colors, blue, embossing).  The stamps I used are RI#2714-D "Sm. Pine Forest" and RI#5131-I "Pine Needles Sil".  The sentiment is RI#8607-D "Thanks".

The background was created using Distress Inks as water colors on 140# watercolor paper.  I was playing around with them one day and created a whole bunch of panels using different colors.  (You may see more in the future).  What was amazing, and made the panel interesting on this one was the paper pilled.  That horizon line is the paper’s pilled line when I added too much water.  The bottom was Faded Jeans and the top “sky” was Tumbled Glass.  This was unintended, I’m not good at water coloring at all, so I love it when a “gift” like this happens.

Oh, just look at the inspiration you'll find on these blogs....

Donna - Heather - Joy - Laurie - Esther Shirley

The challenge is open, come on over and play along.  All the details can be found at THE HOUSE.

Thanks for stopping by and thank you all for your comments.  They mean so much to me.

DECEMBER 2017 TIC TAC TOE CHALLENGE

Hello House friends!

Today, at The House That Stamps Built, we are having another Tic, Tac, Toe challenge and we hope you'll find some time to play along with us.

Remember, you can join all the challenges this month all month long.  Each week's challenge stays open until the end of the month.  That gives you several weeks to get in on all the challenges each month.

This stamp, RI# 4707-P "Snow Family" is such a sweet stamp and I've seen several members of the design team using it for their Christmas cards...guess it's a favorite for all of us.  I tried some no-line coloring with Copic Markers.  After stamping the image on the panel, I stamped it again on masking paper and cut out a mask, which I placed over my stamped image.  I then drew a horizon line and sponged on "Tumbled Glass" Distress Ink to create the bg.  The bg of trees was created by stamping RI#2714-D "Sm Pine Forest" with a darker green ink.  The sentiment is RI#2203-H "May Your Heart".  I used my white gel pen to draw in some patterns on the scarves.  The shawl is decorated with Stickles for some holiday glitter.

My card uses the center line down, Christmas, Red & Green and Glitter from the game board here.

So, what do you say...come on over and play along with our TTT challenge and join the fun.  Need more inspiration...check out these incredible blogs of my Rock Star team mates.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you're having a fabulous week!
