All other stamps and supplies can be purchased for a 10% discount when you add TJ10CHERI in the coupon code area upon check out.

If you've hopped here from the incredibly talented Jeanne Streiff's blog, you're in the right order for the hop.  If not, I know you'll want to start at the beginning and not miss one fabulous blog and creation using these new stamps.

This card uses the adorable "Snowman Whimsy" and is framed using the wispy pine boughs from "Seasons Greetings Set of 6".

The gorgeous new stamp "Pine Spray" was used on this card.  I also followed an older inking technique "Vintage Art" from the June/July 2011 Technique Junkies Newsletter.  The background was created by dragging brown dye inks over a light cream colored card stock panel.  I created a frame using an older Spellbinder label die set and sprayed the frame with Shimmering Bliss Spray "Chestnut Mare", which is a lovely warm brown spray.  The sentiment is from "Gifts of Christmas" Stamp set.  (FYI, you can pick this set up for 10% off by using my coupon code 10TJCHERI.)

For my final card I stamped this amazingly gorgeous "Poinsettia Frame"  in VersaMark embossing ink and heat embossed it with copper ep on a light pink card stock panel.  I then colored it with Copic Markers in the Red group.  The highlights on the petals were created with a white PrismaColor pencil.  The tiny dots in the center were created using a white gel pen.  The sentiment is "Merry Christmas 2".  A very light spray of Shimmering Bliss Spray Topper "Iridescent" was sprayed over the entire panel giving it a beautiful shimmer.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you found some inspiration while you were here.  To continue the hop in order, please go on over and check out another incredibly talented crafter on the team, Stephanie Severin.

Here's my coupon code one more time if you'd like to take advantage of a 10% discount on all stamps (excluding the October stamps and clearance items), Shimmering Bliss Sprays and other supplies, in the Technique Junkies Stamps Store.

LIFE IS TOUGH, MY DARLING

Hello everyone!!!

Here's a little boost of encouragement card I made this week using the Technique Junkies Stamps background stamp "Textured Newsprint"  from the new September 2018 Release  and "Life is Tough".  I love how this came together.

All the stamps and supplies, which I link in this post can be purchased through the Technique Junkies Store and by using my coupon code TJ10Cheri, you can purchase them for a full 10% off.  Simply type in the code in the "coupon code" area at check out.  How's that for a little enabling?

The background newsprint was stamped using a light brown dye ink on kraft card stock.  I used Copic Markers to color in the corner roses.  The lady was stamped using the new fabulous  VersaFine Clair "Nocturne" pigment ink.  If you haven't tried this ink yet, you must.  The images it produces are so clear and precise. It's my new favorite pigment ink.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you found some creative inspiration.

If you like challenges, there's a new Technique Junkies Stamps challenge on Design Junkies Blog called "Hot Colors".  Check it out and join in the fun.  You might just win some awesome Technique Junkies Stamps.

That's it from me today.  I hope you have a great week.  Don't forget to enjoy some creative shopping at the Technique Junkies Store with my coupon code for a discount on your order.  Have fun!!!

SEPTEMBER 2018 INSPIRATION CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello House friends!!!!

There's a new challenge at The House That Stamps Built and it's an Inspiration Challenge.

Come on over and play along!

My card uses RI# 4313-K "Sunflower" and RI#1807-F "I'm So Glad...".  I stamped the sunflower on watercolor paper and painted it with Distress Inks.  After die cutting the image, I adhered it to a layer of burlap and then onto another die cut layer.
I was inspired by the sunflower and the soft colors of the palette.

I hope you found some inspiration and will come over and play along with our challenge.  The details can be found at THE HOUSE.

Please visit my talented team mates' blogs...they have incredible creations to show you.

SEPTEMBER 2018 TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello there House fans!

It's Wednesday/challenge day from The House That Stamps Built and this week it's a Tic, Tac, Toe Challenge.

My card uses RI Stamps #207-G "Cardinal" , #2708-M "Pine Branch" and the sentiment is #4025-F "Deepest Sympathy".

On a separate white cs scrap, I stamped the pine branch in a dark green dye ink. Using my MISTI, I positioned the cardinal stamp over the branch where I wanted him to sit and stamped him in a dark red dye ink.  On the reverse side of the vellum, I colored the cardinal with Copic Markers.  I then ran the vellum through a Swiss dot embossing folder for a snowy texture.

Both the vellum piece and the white cs were die cut with an oval frame die and adhered together.  I created the background panel by dragging white pigment ink and then a blue ink over a neutral colored card stock layer which gave it a distressed "wood" like appearance.  Using the same oval die set, I used the die one size bigger to create the frame for the image.

For dimension, I mounted the cardinal oval on a foam layer before layering it against the frame.

The items I chose from the Tic, Tac, Toe board to create my card are the diagonal from the top to bottom:  Use Dimension, Vellum, and Sympathy.

I hope you found some inspiration here today.  You'll find tons more on my team mates blogs.  Here are their links:
