MAY 2018 SKETCH CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello HOUSE friends,

Here we are at the end of May!!! How did THAT happen?????

This is the 5th Wednesday of a month and therefore, Wendy challenges us with a sketch.  Sketch challenges at The House That Stamps Built only happen in months where there is a 5th Wednesday....so if you like sketch challenges, join in and play along.

My card uses RI Stamps #505-L "Mixed Fruit" and #9313-D "Sweet".

I'm not good with sketches....I don't know what there is about them, but I freeze at the sight of them.  I think it's the restriction of the sketch that gets me.  Anyway...because it's a "challenge" to me, I jump in and enjoy the process.  I love the Mixed Fruit stamp, it's such a great stamp to color.

This design came completley on it's own once I decided the stamp I wanted to use.  So, I guess that's the answer to my freeze of sketch challenges....I need to let the stamps speak on their own.  This made me think of a menu on top of place mats at a cafe table.  Quaint is the word that comes to mind.  LOL.

I hope you found some inspiration here today and for more incredible inspiration, you should check out my team mates....they are true rock stars.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you'll check out the challenge and join in.  All the details can be found over at THE HOUSE.  I hope you'll join in, you might just be the winner of $25.00 worth of RI stamps!

Sketches are hard for me too, Cheri -- but I do enjoy a challenge! You did a great job with it -- I love the little gingham corners you added, they add just the right finishing touch. Love the image and embossing folder you used as well. Just a really pretty card!

Oh my gosh, you rocked this sketch, beautiful coloring and like the dry embossed layers for extra interest and depth!

So beautiful!! Your coloring is stunning and the embossed panels with the red patterned paper are perfect! It's got a great, French-country feel.
