Once again, it's my turn to pick some Repeat Impressions Stamps for you to try and if you wish to purchase them, Wendy will put them at a discount price for you - but only for one week. So if you would like to grab these stamps and add them to your collection, do it before next Monday (April 2).
Some of my favorite Repeat Impressions Stamps are the nautical and beach stamps. They're great for scene stamping as well as guy cards (something we all need to have on hand once in awhile).
I created a shadow box card using five nautical stamps. RI#2704-H "Sailboat". RI#2418-E "Scalloped Shell", RI#2410-I "Conch Shell", RI#411-F "Starfish Sm", RI#2411-K "Pelican"and RI#2912-I "Seagull"
THE PROCESS:
To create the card, I choose my stamps, a background, I cut two die cut frames, a card stock base and strips of fun foam to build up the frames and create the shadowbox effect.
After stamping the images, I colored them with Copic Markers then fussy cut them from the panel.
Placing one of the frames on the base of the card, I traced the area where the bg would be placed through the open "window" of the frame. This assures my background piece will be centered. See the next two photos.
Next, I adhered the strips of fun foam to the backs of the die cut frames and started building my visual of the shadowbox. The ship was adhered directly on the background layer card then a frame was layered against it. I then adhered my other elements and stamps on the first frame and layer. Finally, adding the second frame and adding the elements to that final layer.
This was such a fun card to create and I hope you try it. Don't forget to grab these stamps at the limited time discount price and enjoy some fun stamping.
