Random Challenge at Gingersnaps Creations

Hi Blog friends!!!

Oh!  What fun we're having at Gingersnaps Creations this month.  It's all about "Family" with a focus on "Heritage Pieces".

This week's Random Challenge is "Last Century".

Wow!  The last century is a wide creative berth for a project.....just imagine from the beginning to the end of the 1900's and without stretching it, the vast amount of changes from the humble horse and buggy to moon travel (just an example).  How about fashion?  Wow!  Industrialization, communications, socializations......I often think about my grandparents who actually lived nearly the entirety of that century.....did they ever reflect on what they'd lived to witness and were they as impressed when they reflected as I am?

When I went to create something for this challenge, my thoughts went to the WWII era.  This was my parents' era - in my romantic world, I would love to revisit my reality world.....maybe not.  Nevertheless, it was a time of the "Greatest Generation" and I value them and wanted to create something that depicted that.

Here is my "Last Century" creation.

I used the fabulous stamps from Oxford Impressions  "Casablanca" sheet.   The image is a digi from Digital Collage Sheets- the button is one I retrived from my mother's button collection from the era.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you'll leave a comment.
