A StampTV Sketch Challenge

Thanks so much for your concerned notes here on my blog about the snowy weather we've had.  You Southern ladies are making me so envious!  How I wish I could see daffodils and tulips right now.  I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this was probably the last snow of this winterspring.  Can you see my fingers and toes crossed as I say that?

{My mantra since last Thursday} - If Mother Nature doesn't give you spring.....buy some gorgeous paper and create it!
I didn't need this gorgeous paper at all....but I was at my LSS store on Thursday and feeling a mite sorry for myself that the big snow storm was headed our way and Ruth Ann(she owns the store) had just gotten this new shipment in and I couldn't help myself....I bought it.  It's Kaisercraft "Chanteuse Collection" and if ever there was a "pick-me-up" paper, this would be it!  I decided to use it to make a card for the sketch challenge over at StampTV this week (and I'm just under the wire), but here is the sketch and my card and I know I'll find oodles of reasons to play with my new paper again soon.  (I purchased several sheets...and it made me feel sooo much better).

Card ingredients:  Gina K Designs Pure Luxury CS in White, Fresh Asparagus, and Bubble Gum Pink.  Butterfly stamp and sentiment are from the new "Springtime Silhouettes" StampTV Stamp Kit.  Spellbinders "Lotus" Pendent die, Stickles, Distress Inks, Copic Markers, wrinkled seambinding and embellishment.

Have a great week everyone and thanks so much for your little notes.  I love knowing there's spring out there.....somewhere!  *sigh*

A beautiful card that anyone would love to receive for their birthday!! Glad to know you buy paper when you feel a mite bit sorry about life, I would add I buy it then, as well as when I'm happy, or when I'm driving by my LSS and my car turns in without me even steering - LOL !!! I must add that it looks like 'must have' paper and I'm glad you bought it and used it - TFS

Gorgeous card! Love the soft colors, layering double Lotus...everything!

The paper is almost too pretty to cover. The double lotus was a great idea. What an addiction this hobby is.
