OCTOBER 2018 TIC, TAC, TOE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hey there House friends.....it's the second challenge of the month at The House That Stamps Built and that's a Tic, Tac, Toe challenge.

I used RI Stamps #701-K "Belle" and RI# 2509-H "Love, Hugs..." .  Colored with Copic Markers on light pink card stock.  I created my card using the grids diagonally from left to right....Black and one color....Stitching (real or faux) and kid stuff.

EAT, DRINK, & BE SCARY

Hey there, peeps!  

I've got a really cute card to show you using one of the fabulous stamps from the Technique Junkies Stamps September 2018 release called "Raven Collage" which I paired with the fantastic Halloween sentiment "Be Scary".

The background was created by blending distress inks over a watercolor paper panel with baby wipes.  (one of my most favorite techniques).  The fabulous Raven Collage  image was then stamped over the completely dry panel with the awesome Clair Versafine Ink in "Nocturne" (I'm in totally in love with these inks).   Trim the panel, layer and adhere to a card base....done!  The sentiment was stamped on a separate black cs scrap in Versamark and heat embossed with white ep.  The crow's beak and eye were highlighted with a yellow gel pen.  Love it!

OCTOBER 2018 DESIGNER'S CHOICE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello house friends!!!! 

Another month has begun and that means at The House That Stamps Built we get a designer's choice challenge to take on.  This month, Shirley has challenged us to create with the theme "It's Up In The Air".   Use that as your starting point and join us all in Shirley's challenge.  

During the last few weeks of September, we watch the monarch butterflies begin their long journey back to Mexico.  Some days the air is full of them, other days, not so much.  They look like flying flowers and while I love to see them, their departure means cold weather will be arriving.  

You may see some familiarity about my card...This is a second card I made for another designer's choice challenge at the beginning of August when Joy challenged us to circles.  I put this one aside thinking it might be a good fall card.  However, I think it fits right in to Shirley's challenge this week.  

I used RI Stamps #5106-H "Butterfly Sil (lg), #5123-C "Butterfly Sil (sm), #5125-C "Dragonfly Sil (sm).  , #5812-I "Compass", #5016-N "Genealogy" and the sentiment is #2536-G "Let Your Light...".  The additional stamped circles were created with found items around my desk.

GETTING A JUMP ON THE HOLIDAYS

Hello my Technique Junkies Stamps friends!

I might be jumping the gun a bit, creating this happy new year card, but I absolutely am in love with the new "Season's Greetings Set of 6" stamp set and I couldn't help myself. 

I love the vintage look of this card and it was so easy to achieve.  Simply mask off an area on a white card stock panel and lightly sponge Antique Linen Distress Ink inside the mask.  Stamp the image in a green dye ink and color in.  (I used  Memento Forever Green and Copic Markers).  The sentiment was stamped with the fabulous new Clair Ink from VersaFine "Fallen Leaves".  The mask was removed and for a gold edge (adding to the vintage look) I used Nuvo Glitter Marker in gold.  A white gel pen was used to add the highlights to the berries.  Easy peasy card, for sure.
