Here's this week's fabulous stamp

I have to say, thinking up a design for this stamp was a true challenge for me.  I had so many ideas yet nothing seemed to come out as I planned or thought it should.  Then I had an image in my mind of an old Masonic Lodge building in the town where I was raised and the windows resembled this stamp enough that I found my inspiration from that memory.

I stamped the image on acetate with StazOn ink.  When It was dry, I cut out the shape and colored the windows with stickles.  Once the stickles dried, I added Glossy Accents to the side with the Stickles and glued it over the window I created using a Movers and Shapers die.  The window was cut after I'd embossed the "brick" with an ef inked in white ink onto sandy colored cs.  I then layered a panel of grey behind the embossed image and layered it onto a white base.   The window "frame" was made with scrapes and colored with Copics in an attempt to give it a weather-beaten look.  The sentiment is RI #1105-E

Designer's Choice Challenge at Repeat Impressions

Hi blog friends,

It's time for another Designer's Choice Challenge at The House That Stamps Built and it's a challenge from Christy this week.  Christy would like to see us make a slide or pull card.  I have to say, I rarely make this style of card but it was so much fun

For my card I chose to make a "flip" or "waterfall" card and RI has a great tutorial on how to create one HERE  and if you'd like the cards all cut for you, they have those too.....HERE

Here's my card.  I used #7201-W Rose.  It was difficult for me to get a good photo of the "flip", the process is that you pull on the ribbon bottom and the rose grows (in panels) from a bud to a full rose and you can then put your greeting on the full area under the last panel.   Here's a look at the inside when the pull has been extended.  It's a very easy and simple interactive card to make....give it a try.

Check out the other Rock Stars for more inspiration and see their slide and pull cards.

Please join us in Christy's challenge.  Create a slide or pull card and link it to The House's blog in Christy's challenge area and you will then be entered in a drawing to win some fabsulous RI stamps (maybe a flip stamp).  And remember....if you use an RI stamp, you'll be entered in the drawing TWICE.

Thank you for stopping by and thank you, Christy....this was a fun challenge!!!

CAS Making Music at Outlawz

Hi blog friends....

For all you CAS bloggers, there's a new CAS challenge posted at Outlawz, with some fantastic prizes to win.  Head on over and post your CAS cards with a music theme.

It's my turn to challenge and here it is:
"Let's Make Music Together"....Music makes the world go 'round and it's been said is the "universal language". I think it's safe to say, we all love some form of music whether its a song, a melody, a genre of music, or songs of nature (birds). Let's release some music this week. Create a CAS card that shows something that depicts music. (Think musical notes, instruments or creatures of song)

Here's my creation for the challenge

This card uses M-Bossibilities, Memory Box dies and a stamp from SmartARTworks.

Keep a song in your heart and thanks for stopping by.  I hope you'll play along with the CAS challenge at Outlawz.
