JULY 2018 ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hi there, House friends!!!

It's time for our favorite challenge at The House That Stamps Built...Anything Goes!

I used an inspiration I found on Pinterest to create this card and for the life of me, I can't find it.  I thought I pinned it to my board....but apparently I didn't.

I created this card by masking off the edges with post-it notes and sponging Distress Oxide inks in the center area.  I used my heat gun to dry the inks a bit before stamping the image RI#4302-I "Fairy's Fun/Bumblebee" in black dye ink.  Using my Memento black marker, I colored in the area of the image that was inside the sponged area leaving the area outside colorless.  For additional texture and interest, I stamps RI# 5125-C "Dragonfly Sil Sm" and RI#5704-L "Bamboo".  The sentiment is RI#3924-G "Friends Together".

I hope you found some inspiration here today and I hope you'll join me and my team mates in the Anything Goes Challenge at The House.  All the details on how to enter and what you could win if you enter are there.

Here are links to the blogs of my incredibly talented team mates if you liked to see what they've created for this challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

What a fun card, Cheri! I love how you colored in the stamped portion on some parts and left others open -- such a cool technique!

I saw this on Pinterest too and thought it was cool. Love your fairy and the dragon fly. The sentiment is perfect.

This is fabulous! Love your masked strip and it was genius to color only the portions of the images inside the masked area!
