Where is the summer going???? It's already the 20th of July!!!
Are you ready for another inspiration challenge? The House That Stamps Built has one for you and here it is
I used these stars in a scene card. I've been making a lot of graphic cards lately, but have always enjoyed making scene cards. Repeat Impressions has some great stamps for scene creations and I used one of my favorites. Remember, "inspiration" is whatever inspires you from the photo. Go with your creativity and show us your awesome art.
UPDATE: I have been asked by Linda, in a sweet comment, if I would share how I created the blue and the stars on this card as well as how I created the "pool" on the ground, and I'm pleased to do that. The blue was created by masking off the card panel in a tri-angular way with post-it note strips, covering all but the area where I determined I wanted the blue to be. I then sponged that area with two different blue Distress Inks; Salty Ocean for the darker area at the top and then Tumbled Glass for the lighter blue area from the middle to the bottom. I continued adding and blending these inks until I got a smooth look. After the sponged inks were completely dry, I added the stars with a stencil from My Favorite Things called "Star Celebration" and Glass Bead Glitter Gel by Faber-Castell (which I purchased from Michaels a year or so ago). This goes on white but dries to be completly clear with lots of glitter. The "pool" was created using a die from MFT called "Oval Shadows". I cut it from kraft cs and then used Copic markers to give it a shadowed look.
Linda, I hope this answers your questions. Please contact me if you would like more informatin and thank you all for commenting.
