CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE AT OUTLAWZ

Greetings from Maine, blog friends!

What a fabulous summer we've been having here this year.  Our garden has never looked better and it looks as though we'll be harvesting and canning lots of food this fall.

There's a new CAS challenge over at Outlawz Challenges, for all you CAS fans!  You might want to check it out and play along.  Here it is:

One layer time!  This week's challenge is to create a card or project using one layer only and that layer is your base card.  No ribbon, lace, embellishments, etc as this will be a second 'layer'.  Go wild, use those stamps, brayers, sprays, whatever you like to create the ultimate one layer CAS card.

One layer cards are not always easy, but I find them a fun challenge and I love to make them.

Stamps:  "By The Sea 2"  from GKD, Illustrated by Theresa Momber and "Sending and Wishing" by Simon Says Stamps .  The inks I used are Tim Holtz Distress Inks;  Picked Raspberry, Spicy Marmalade, Squeezed Lemon (got some fruit going on), Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean.  I used Versafine black ink for the images.

Once again, I am participating in Online Card Classes.  This one is all about backgrounds and how to create them.  You can purchase past classes any time, so check them out.

I love these classes. This background was one Laura Bassen  showed us on the first day of class.  (Laura is the queen of sponging techniques).  I tried to replicate her example here (I got a little heavy handed with the inks I think, but it was fun never-the-less).

Come on over to Outlawz Challenges and play along with the CAS girls this week!  You'll have fun - GUARANTEED!

Thanks for stopping by.
