Stamp of the Week at Repeat Impressions

Greetings blog friends,
I have to say, it is sooo much fun playing with the fabulous Repeat Impression Stamps.  Today, we're sharing "Mina" (#5701) with you and offering her as the Stamp of the Week!  If you click "The House That Stamps Built" blog, you'll be taken to the beginning of the hop with all the details of how you can add Mina to your stamp collection for 50% off.  This offer is only for one week, so if you like a bargain, (and who doesn't?), get on over there and pick up this fabulous stamp.

I had a lot of ideas as to how I would use Mina on my card and I tried several layouts, but I settled with this one.

The bg was created with CB EF "branches" that I inked up with Memento "Bamboo Leaves" before putting the GKD PL White cs in the folder.  The dp is Basic Grey "Koshi" paper.  I made panels using GKD PL "Lovely Lavender" CS then layerd the dp on it and stitched arond the edges.  Mina was stamped with black Versafine, once dry, I sponged TH DI "peeled paint", "mustard seed" and "milled lavendar" to color her kimono. I colored her face with Copic markers.  Once dry, I cut her out.  The final step with the image was to cover with Versamark, add superfine ep then heat emboss.  The sentiment is also from RI and it's #2501 - but I only inked the "Happy Birthday" phrase.

Please visit the blogs of Rock Stars Karen, Kendra, Makiko and Miriam for more fabulous inspiration for Mina (#5701).

Thanks so much for stopping by and just a reminder....it's not too late to play along with this week's What If? Wednesday F812 sketch, you have until 5 p.m. EST, February 21, 2012 - you could be the lucky winner of $25.00 worth of RI stamps.

The papers you choose go so well with the image. I like the embossed background and how you covered the image with Versafine.
