GKD CSS Alumni Inspiration Blog Hop

WELCOME  Happy Saturday! Wanted to invite you to a fun blog hop being hosted by members of StampTV’s Center Stage Alumni. The goal of the hop is to share a variety of cards and projects featuring Gina K. Stamps. The plan is to hold two blog hops a month with a different theme every time and I hope you'll finish the hop and be inspired to pick up your Gina K. stamps and get creative!  If you've arrived here from the very talented Carolina's blog, you're going the right way.

Each hop will launch right here from StampTV and then take you on a creative journey from blog to blog until you end up back here at StampTV.
This hop is an Inspiration challenge.  The photo below is from 1-800 Flowers and it is our inspiration point.

I created two cards for this hop and this is my first one.

I had so much fun playing with this new "Fun Year Round" stamp set designed by Melanie Munchinger so I made both of my cards using it.

My inspiration for the above card came from the colors and the circles in the inspiration photo.

Card recipe is:  GKD Pure Luxury CS, White and Sweet Mango.  After stamping the image with Memento Black Tuxedo, I colored the background areas of the circles  with Copic Markers.  I then used various Vivid and Memento inks to stamp the flowers within the circles.  I had these Prima flowers "forever" so, I thought they might look great if I stacked them and added those gorgeous GKD flowers on top of each stack and adhered them with assorted brads.

My second card was also inspired by the colors and circles and this time I drew inspiration from the "celebration" flavor of the photo.  All those goodies and party favors.....I couldn't resist.

Card recipe:  GKD Pure Luxury White and Turquoise Sea.  The GKD stamp sets I used were "Fun Year Round" and "Sweetest Blessings".  I colored the image with Copic Markers.  Nestabilities round scalloped circle was used to cut the focal image.  Beads and Sakura Gelly Roll pen for embellishments.  The frilly thingy behind the image was made by cutting ribbon into strips....I wanted to try and recreate the party favor blow out things (I can't think of what you call them, LOL).

Thanks for stopping by,
Cheri
Now hop on over to the very talented Giovana Smith's blog....she's waiting to show you her gorgeous creation.
