DESIGNER'S CHOICE CHALLENGE AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hi blog friends!!!

Winter arrived here this past Sunday....we got over 6" of new snow in our area, however, north of us 100 miles they got over a foot and many people had no power for days.  Yikes!!!   Fortunately, our area did not lose power.

There's a new Designer's Choice Challenge at The House That Stamps Built and this week my sweet friend Patti J is hosting and her challenge is "Being Thankful".

The stamps I used for my card are RI Stamps #9705-M "Jar" and #9719-E "A Pint of Thanks" both from one of the newest stamp sets "Contain Yourself".  I colored the jar with Copic Markers and did some dry embossing with a couple of different embossing folders on some paper layers.  I used Spellbinders Labels Eighteen for the sentiment and a tiny heart punch I picked up at Michaeles for $1.00!  The doily is another "find" in Michaels discount bin.

I hope you're inspired to play along with the Rock Stars and Patti J's Being Grateful challenge.  For more inspiration, you want to check out my Rock Star team mates.

CLEAN AND SIMPLE AT OUTLAWZ CHALLENGES

Hi there blog friends!  If you live in the daylight saving time zone....did you turn your clocks back????  The dark of winter is now upon those of us who do.

All the more reason to have a hobby like paper crafting to lift us out of our winter doldrums, right?

Over at the Outlawz Challenges, Charlene Mitchell is hosting a new challenge for the CAS group with the theme of Winter Birthdays.  Check it out....

"Winter Birthday" - This month is my birthday month (yay me!) so I'd like to see winter-themed birthday projects. Think ice-skating, skiing, snow, snowflakes, fireplace, or something that represents winter to you but be sure to make it birthday-themed. Have fun and keep it CAS!

I reacquainted myself with an old "friend" in this GKD stamp set called "Snow Much Fun".  (I think it's been retired and is no longer available).  I first de-bossed my base card with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen and then after stamping the image on another piece of cs I cut it out using the next size and used pop dots to pop it out of the "window".

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a great week and I hope you'll find some time to join the CAS challenge at Outlawz Challenges.

I'm entering this card in the Anything Goes challenge at TTCRD.

WHAT IF? WEDNESDAY AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Helllllllooooo blog friends!!!

What if it was Wednesday????  Ha!  Good news!!!!   It IS Wednesday and it's sketch challenge time at The House That Stamps Built, which means a new WIW (WHAT IF? WEDNESDAY) sketch challenge.  So here we go!!!!  What do you think????  Lots of fun, right???

I found this a true challenge but had so much fun figuring out what I might do with it.

Stamps used:  RI# 3915-F "Got Cake", RI#9302-P "Cupcakes", RI#9309-C "Tiny Cupcake both from the Pairings Stamp Set

Lots of layers on this card...something I'm not used to, since I mainly lean toward CAS cards.  Anyway, it was a good  challenge and I had some fun.  So how about you???  Let's see what you can do with Wendy's sketch this week and show it to us at The House.  All details of how to do that are there.

For more inspiration visit the Rock Stars....they are fabulous ladies and loaded with incredible talent.

DESIGNER'S CHOICE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hello blog friends!!!

Guess what????  It's time for another designer's choice challenge at The House That Stamps Built.  The super talented and creative Joy Hadden is the Rock Star challenging us this week and she wants us to clean up all our left overs!  That's it, her challenge is "left overs".  Joy must know my craft table needed cleaning off...she had great timing on this one.

I usually have a little baggy sitting on my craft table with all sorts of paper pieces, images left over, dies that I'd cut and didn't use....I'm sure you know what I mean.  So for Joy's challenge, I was going through my bag of left overs and found some paper combinations I liked and this image I had stamped, cut and colored quite some time back.  Within minutes, this card came together.  Love it when that happens!

The stamps used came from Pairings stamp set, #9304-L "Martini" and #9316-E "Cheers".  I traced the cut out image on a piece of left over black card stock to create a "shadow" effect for the martini and another strip o the same black cs leftover to give it a "table".  I had just enough pieces left over to make the label and finish it off with some punched edges.

For more "left over" inspiration, please check out the Rock Stars then come on over to The House and play along with us.  You could win yourself some awesome RI stamps!

Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by!

A NEW CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHALLENGE AT THE OUTLAWZ CHALLENGES

Happy Sunday, blog friends!

If you like parties, you're going to LOVE the week long party that starts tomorrow at Outlawz Challenges.  There are some awesome prized to win and some fun games to play.  Tell all your friends and join the fun at The Outlawz Challenges ALL WEEK!!!! And find out lots more about the Outlawz on their FaceBook page.

***********

It's Sunday, and Sundays mean there's a new CAS challenge at Outlawz.  This week, The sweet and talented Pryn is the challenge leader and here is her challenge  -

"Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble"! This week we challenge you to create a CAS card or project that features something on it that you can cook or stir.  This could be coffee, a love potion, spaghetti, a martini...the ideas are endless!  Get those aprons on and whip something up to feed our inspiration!

My card used an image from Repeat Impressions #4517-F "Tea Pot" which I colored with Copic Markers.  The "flames" were created with a Martha Stewart leaf punch I punched out of two different shades of orange card stock.  I then added a touch of my Wink of Stella pen for some sparkle.   The "sticks" under the flames were thin pieces of scraps I added for dimension and effect.  The embossing folder is from CuddleBug and I think it's called "sticks".  (not sure).  The sentiment is from (one of my favorites, Lockhart Stamp Company and Ellen Hutson (another fave of mine).

I hope to see you at THE PARTY!!!!  Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by.
