WHAT IF? WEDNESDAY TIME AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hi blog friends!

Hey!  It's Wednesday!!  I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and your new week is off to a healthy and happy start.

Sketch challenge What If? Wednesday time from The House That Stamps Built.  Grab some "play time" this week and join the challenge if you can.  These sketches are so much fun and you could win some awesome RI stamps.  All the details are at The House.

Here's the sketch for this week.

This sketch proved to be a true challenge for me.  I had so many ideas and thoughts for it.  I think I was overloaded with ideas.  Anyway, here's what finally came out on paper!  (wink)

I had a whole bunch of dp scraps and decided I wanted this card to have bright colors.  I don't remember which paper pack these are from, but they worked well for this card.  (or so I think).  The RI stamp I used is #8711 "You Rock".   Very CAS and easy to do.  Love RI stamps, they are so versatile and easy to create with.

So come on along and join us.  Need more inspiration??  Check out my Rock Star teamies.

DESIGNER'S CHOICE CHALLENGE FOR REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Greetings blog friends!!!

Did you get a chance to join in on the new stamp set release "Contain Yourself" from Repeat Impressions, blog hop?  What fun that was and a big CONGRATULATIONS goes to Stamping Sue on her win of the whole sheet of stamps.

Here we go with another fun DCC from The House That Stamps Built blog.   This time it's Deonna's turn to challenge us and she has chosen "Fur or Winged Things".   Repeat Impressions has so many stamps to select from for this challenge that it was difficult for me to decide what I wanted to play with.  I finally decided on butterflies, because I love them and there are so many out and about these days.

Here's my card for Deonna's challenge

The butterflies are RI#9001-L "Butterfly Lg" and 9009-F "Butterfly Sm".  I stamped both butterfly images on my one layer card with Memento black ink and colored them with Copic markers.  I then stamped the larger butterfly again on to vellum with VersaFine black ink, sprinkled clear embossing power over that image, then heat embossed it.  I then repeated coloring on the backside of the vellum piece with Copic markers.  Before attaching the vellum butterfly I created the "bokeh technique" (a photography technique) using a pencil eraser and two inks.  I then attached just the center of the butterfly to the card, leaving the wings to lift off the card layer.

After dropping by the other Rock Stars' blogs and see their inspiring cards with this challenge join us.  The details of how to win some fabulous RI stamps can be found at The House.

INTRODUCING CONTAIN YOURSELF FROM REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hi there blog friends!!!

It's another fabulous new stamp release party blog hop from Repeat Impressions and The House That Stamps Built.  If you hopped with us on the last stamp release "Bottoms Up", you know how much fun it was.

Once again, you can win this entire new set of stamps by hopping with us and leaving comments.

To win the complete Contain Yourself unmounted collection and here's how it works!

You can have as many as NINE chances to win, you will receive one chance per blog that you comment on. So what that means is comment on one blog and you will earn one chance. Comment on 3 blogs and earn 3 chances and so on. Comment on each of the blogs and The House That Stamps Built blog and you would have collected a total of nine chances....hey, that is pretty good odds!

Complete the hop and post your comments no later than 5pm eastern time on Sunday, June 29th.  The winner will be announced at The House That Stamps Built on Monday, June 30th.

Here are a few cards I've created with this fantastic new set.

What a great set this is....so many combinations to create with.  I put the beta in this bowl and colored with Copic Markers.

I heat embossed this card on vellum with white embossing powder and colored it on the reverse side with Copic Markers.  I then mounted it on a soft blue layer of cs trimmed just 1/8" larger than the vellum panel.

For this card, I stamped the jar on vellum, fussy cut the image after coloring it with Copic Markers.  I took some pink Distress Stickles spread it on the back side of the image with my finger.  I then bent or bowed the jar to look dimensional and layered it against the die cut panel.  I then stamped the sentiment with VersaMark and sprinkled silver ep on it and heat embossed it.  I cut it out using a label die from Spellbinders.  Add some embellishments and there you have it.

Thanks for sticking it out for my long description.....good luck and thanks for hopping with us.

Here is the order of the hop.  What until you see what all these talented Rock Stars have created with this awesome set of stamps.

WHAT IF? WEDNESDAY AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hello blog friends!

It's time for another What If? Wednesday sketch at Repeat Impressions.  I hope you'll join us.  You can get all the details over at The House That Stamps Built.

Here's the fabulous sketch Wendy has given us to play with.

Here's a card I made using the sketch

I made this CAS card using stamps from the new "Wine Time" stamp set.  #9503-L "Wine Glass" and #9510-E "Wine Glass".   The embossing folder is from Stamp N Up and I used Copic Markers to color the glass.  I wish I had centered the sentiment better...I lost my "stamp a ma jig and tried to eye ball the placement.  Oops!  Guess I'll be buying a new one.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  For more inspiration please visit my Rock Star teamies.

DESIGNER'S CHOICE CHALLENGE AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hellllloooo blog friends!!!!

Here we go with another challenge at The House That Stamps Built !!  It's time for a Designer's Choice Challenge and the very talented Rock Star, Karen Hasheck is challenging us all to a motion card or shaped card.

Are your creative wheels turning?  This is such a fun challenge with so many possibilities.  Check out how you can win some awesome RI stamps should you win the draw in this challenge.

I created a shaped card for this challenge by using a Sizzix die I hadn't used in years called "Butterfly" with white cs.  What an adorable card this created and I was so pleased with it. I also cut some designer papers I had in my scraps to cover the areas of the card which give it a summery feel.  The sentiment stamp I used is one of my favorites from RI, #9005-E "Flutter By".   I placed it on a heart die cut and added it to the front of the butterfly after inking around the edges.

Great challenge, Karen.

Here are the links to my Rock Star Teamies for more inspiration.  Play along with Karen and you might possibly win some great RI stamps!
