Here's my card  using Repeat Impressions Stamps #4206-K "Kisa 2" and #6103 for the sentiment.  I just love that adorable Kisa's face.   When I lived on a farm we had "barn cats" and their soul duty was to keep the rodent population down.  I always loved this unique team of "cat seals".  They were stealth and gorgeous because they were all different in color and design.

Designer's Choice Challenge at Repeat Impressions

Hi blog friends!
Can you believe it, we're celebrating the first day of  SUMMER??!!!  Who isn't ready for a few months of warmth and sunshine, barbeques and beach time?  I know I am.
Today we're having a Designer's Choice Challenge at The House That Stamps Built and it's my turn to challenge you.  So my challenge is for you to HEAD TO THE BEACH.  Since it's summer and since the beach is such an important place for relaxation and summertime fun, I challenge you to create a card with a beach theme.

Here's the card I made to get us started.  I used RI Stamp #4503-K "Beach Time" as my focal image.  The sentiment is # 9003 which BTW is this week's STAMP OF THE WEEK (Members of The House That Stamps Built blog can get it for 50% off the retail price) and the balloons are #9116 from the fabulous new "Big Boys Toys" set.

My card base was die cut with Spellbinder Label 8, then masked and sponged with Memento inks, "Summer Sky", "Blue Danube" and "Desert Sand".  The clouds were die cut using Memory Box "Puffy Clouds" dies.  The sweet little beach bunny was stamped separately and cut with Spellbinder ovals then was colored with Copic Markers.  Finally, before adhering the oval image to the card based with pop dots, I sponged the edges with the same colors as their background.

I hope you'll all join in and play along with my "Head to the Beach" Designer's Choice Challenge at The House That Stamps Built.

Here are some more fabulous "Head for the Beach" inspiration ideas from the RI Rock Stars

I love this "beach time" stamp, and if you come back this weekend, you'll see I've used it again for another card I created for another DT I'm on at Outlawz for their big celebration.  Get more information by clicking on the flashing flags in the upper left hand corner of my blog.  BTW - REPEAT IMPRESSIONS will be sponsoring a big prize for one of the challenges at Outlawz for their Where in the World Celebration Party.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you'll play along with our challenge at The House That Stamps Built.

Happy Father's Day!

Hi blog friends!

I'm sure not too many dads will be reading my blog today, but if there are any, happy dad's day to you!

Over at the Outlawz, it's a brand new week of challenges get on over there and check them out - AND don't forget to come back to Outlawz NEXT WEEK, because starting June 24, it's the BIG CELEBRATION of WHERE IN THE WORLD (are our) 2000 members.  We are celebrating members from 22 different countries and there are tons of prizes, great tutorials and lots of fun ways to help us celebrate our 2000 members world wide.  See the flashing flags in the upper lefthand corner of my blog?  You can click there and it will take you to more information.

The challenge for this week's Outlawz CAS card is to make a masculine card.  It being father's day and all, it's a great time to crank out some guy cards.

My card features a Repeat Impressions stamp of a Maine lighthouse called "Portland Head Light" which is located in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.  This was the first commissioned light house in the USA and it was commissioned by George Washington and completed in 1791.  It's a gorgeous place to visit.  You can find out more about it and see more images on Google, if you're interested.

I used card stock from Gina K Designs, Pure Luxury "Moonlit Fog", "In The Navy" and White.  After embossing some of the "Moonlit Fog" CS with a CB EF I then tore it and swiped it with some TH DI "Weathered Wood" to give the appearance of rocks.  The light house image was stamped with Memento "Danube Blue" and some Copic Y15 (Cadmium Yellow) was added to the light.  The sentiment is also a Repeat Impressions Stamp.
I hope you all have a super day!
Stop back on Wednesday for another Designer's Choice Challenge for Repeat Impressions and The House That Stamps Built Blog.  This time it will be my turn to challenge you.  I think you're going to like it.  I look forward to seeing you soon.

I'm also entering this card in The CuttleBug Spot Challenge "Shades of Blue for Dad".
