STAMPTV CSS DT COLOR CHALLENGE BLOG HOP

Welcome blog friends!

We're having another StampTV Center Stage Spotlight Design Team blog hop and you're invited to hop along, get inspired and join us by creating your own card or project using our color combo for inspiration.

If you've come from the outstandingly talented Brenda's blog then you're in the right place.  If not, you may want to go to the beginning of the hop and take in all the fabulous creations from start to finish.

Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (June 12), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps!

The Color Combo is Purple, Pink, and Green plus neutral colors (white, ivory, black, and brown) are also fine to incorporate.

Since it's June and the month for weddings, I decided to create a wedding card.

The GKD stamp set I used for this card is "With This Ring" by Rupa Shevde.  My card stock colors are GDK "Lovely Lavendar" and "Vibrant Violet".  I colored the cake with Copic Markers and then die cut the image using Spellbinder Labels Four.  While the image was still in the die, I lightly sponged some DI "Spun Sugar" around the edge.  The dp is from DCWV "Latte" Matstack.  Also added are Stickles and Liquid Pearls.

Thank you for stopping by.  Don't forget to leave a comment so you can be entered into the drawing for some fabulous GKD stamps.

Now head on over to the so very talented and creative Geri's blog for some stunning inspiration.

DESIGNER'S CHOICE CHALLENGE AT REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Hi blog friends!

I hope you're having a great week!  We're getting soggy and moldy here in New England with all the rain.  I hope our garden makes it through this stuff.

One good thing about making cards is you can create your own sunny day with paper and ink.  LOL.

Today, we're having a Designer's Choice Challenge at Repeat Impressions and it's Joy's turn to challenge us.  She's challenging us to create a card using 2 images and 1 sentiment.  How fun is this?

Here's my card for Joy's challenge - I created my own scenic spot that reminds me of growing up in the Adirondack Mountains and seeing the mountain vistas everywhere.  I love the mountains!

My two stamps are #629-I "Mountain Vista" and #3415 -I "Adirondack Chair".  My sentiment is #3905-I "Where We Love".  The clouds are dies from Memory Box.

Please visit the other Rock Stars for even more exciting inspiration for Joy's challenge.

Joy - Karen - Lynette - Dawn - Makiko - Patti

We hope you'll play along with us and create your own card using Joy's challenge of 2 images and 1 sentiment.

Upload your creation to your blog or online photo library, copy the link and head on over to The House That Stamps Built and link it up.  You'll then be entered to win a Repeat Impression Stamp.  If you use a Repeat Impression stamp on your card, you'll be entered in the drawing twice.  Woohoo!!! Come on over and play!

Thank you for stopping by and thank you for your comments.  They make my day!

What If? Wednesday at Repeat Impressions

Hello blog friends!

I'm back with another fabulous sketch challenge for What If? Wednesday at Repeat Impressions aka The House That Stamps Built Blog.

Wendy has come up with another fabulous sketch for us so we hope you'll join us in the challenge.

I'm still in a patriotic frame of mind so used the red, white and blue color scheme to create this card.  I'm really giving the new Big Boys Toys stamp set some love and attention lately.  It's so much fun to ink up and stamp with.

For this card I used two silhouette stamps, Big Boys Toys #9111-I, Bi-plane Silhouette, inking it with Distress Ink "Red Barn".  I then masked it and stamped the cloud #5105-I, Cloud Sil. (lg) Memento "London Fog" ink.  The stamping left a distressed look to the larger cloud, but I liked it as it added some texture to the cloud itself (or so I thought).  The sentiment is from the Big Boys Toys set too.  My bg dp is from the new Authentique "Glory" 6x6 paper pad.

So head on over to The House That Stamps Built and play along with the Rock Stars.  You can get more inspiration from linking to their blogs.
