FAITH HOPE AND LOVE

Hi there, Technique Junkies fans....

You still have a few days to grab the 15% discount for the November Release Stamps....adding my personal discount code, TJ10CHERI, for an additional 10% = 25% off this new release.  If you love these new stamps, don't miss this BIG discount offer.

Here's a card showing how I used two of the new stamps from the November Release and it was super simple to create but it's absolutely gorgeous.

The background was created by stamping "Delicate SnowFlakes"  on a white card stock panel with VersaMark embossing ink.  It was then heat embossed using white embossing powder creating a resist.  Then, Distress Oxide Inks were sponged over the white card stock panel and a soft cloth was used to remove the ink from the embossed areas. (the resist)

The sentiment "Faith, Hope, Love"  was added to the card base panel by stamping it in VersaMark and heat embossing in gold embossing powder.  But, before I did that, I lightly sprayed Shimmering Bliss Spray "Iridescent" over the card base.  It's so subtle but it's absolutely gorgeous. The snowflake panel was "framed" using Nuvo Glitter Marker in gold.  The entire panel was adhered using mounting tape.

I love creating cards with Technique Junkies Stamps and I hope I've inspired you.  You only have 2 more days to get this full 25% discount, I hope you don't miss it.

Thanks for stopping by and feel free to use my discount coupon for a full 10% off all your Technique Junkies Stamps purchases.

MY PICK OF THE WEEK STAMPS FOR THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hi House Friends!

I've been playing around (and having so much fun) with the Ranger Alcohol Lift Ink.  Some of you may have seen the cards I created previously using the Alcohol Lift Ink, now I thought I'd show you how I play with it today at The House That Stamps Built bloghttp://thehousethatstampsbuilt.com.

All the Repeat Impressions Stamps I'm using in this post will be available to you for 20% off Until November 11, 2018.  Grab them while you can.  Use discount coupon POTW11518

You need these supplies:

Alcohol Inks (your choice of colors), Yupo or any non-porous paper, A separate piece of card stock (I used white), Alcohol Lift-Ink, Blending Solution (optional), plastic gloves (optional, but they make it less messy on your hands), stamps of your choice.

This photo shows the results of using the Alcohol Blending Solution (left) and just the blending of the alcohol inks alone (right).  You can decide which you'd prefer for your project.  I'll be using the one on the right for my project today.  Before stamping, it's very important to let these papers dry completely.

You're next step is to place your alcohol ink Yupo paper and your card stock side by side.  Inking up your stamp with the Alcohol Lift-Ink, stamp it on the Yupo paper.  I let the stamp sit on the paper for a minute before lifting.  I then place and stamp the inked stamp on my card stock piece and turning back to the Yupo paper, I take a soft cloth and tap the image inked area on the Yupo paper, lifting the ink and seeing the magic. (Note:  Be careful not to wipe the cloth over the image or it will smear)
Both results are posted in the next photo.

Finally, use your images as you'd like.  I made a couple of Thanksgiving cards using these RI Stamps, #3308-M "The Pastor's House", #3214-G "Thanksgiving Blessings", #3306-I "Falling Leaves" and #3313-E "Oak Leaf".

I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial, thanks for stopping by.

Here are some cards I made with the new stamps.

This card features "Champagne Toast"  and "Raise Your Glass".  Simple gold embossing on a cranberry  colored card stock.  A frame was made out of brushed gold card stock and "bubbles" were made using Nuvo Glitter Pen in Gold.  What a cool invitation to a New Year's Eve party this combo of stamps makes.

This card features "Delicate Snowflakes" and "Winter Wonderland Sayings Set of 3" .  Sponged Oxide Inks on a white card stock panel, over white heat embossed snowflakes creating a resist background.  Die cut area in center of panel.  Sentiment was stamped in white pigment ink and heat embossed with white ep on black card stock.  Using the same die the sentiment was inserted into the cut out area.  A scrap piece was stamped with Versamark ink and sprinkled with a glitter ep.  Then using two of the oval dies, a frame was cut and mounted around the sentiment area.  Finally, using a white gel pen, I added some "snow".

This card features "Scribble Circles", "Fir Forest" and again the sentiment comes from the "Winter Wonderland Sayings Set of 3".  The background was stamped with Delicata Gold ink.  Once dry, the firs trees were stamped with blending of greens and blues Distress Oxide Inks over the background.  The sentiment was stamped on a piece of black card stock and heat embossed with glitter ep.  The sentiment is raised off the base using dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by!  Take some time before the 8th of November to treat yourself to some of these fabulous new stamps, and don't forget to use my personal discount code with your purchase of everything in your cart.  It means an additional 10% off - even on the new November stamps and the Christmas Stamps.

OCTOBER 2018 SKETCH CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hey there house friends,

There's a 5th Wednesday in this month so that means a sketch challenge from The House That Stamps Built.  A sketch challenge only happens in the months with a 5th Wednesday, so if you're partial to sketch challenges, you'll love to join in on this one.

My card uses RI Stamps #5127-K "Maple Leaf Sil " and #2512-E "Just a Note".  The brick background piece was made with an embossing folder and I dragged a white pigment ink over the top to get the results of the "brick" look and to highlight it.

The focal panel is the result of using Alcohol Lift Ink on Yupo paper and alcohol inks.  I love playing with this ink.  This panel is actually the "lift" from the card I posted a few weeks ago HERE.  The sentiment was stamped with white pigment ink and heat embossed with white ep on a piece of black scrap card stock.

Here's the sketch we all are challenged with this week. Come on over to The House and play along.  The details on how to play and what you could win can be found there.

More incredible creations using this sketch can be found on my team mates' blogs.  Check them out.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a fabulous week!
