COLOR CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

My card uses RI Stamps #5116-I Cat Sitting Sil, RI#2308-E "Bats", RI#1139-F "Halloween".

The cat looks speckled, but it's my clear Wink of Stella pen under Glossy Accents.

ALTENEW CHALLENGE

Another quick post!

I made this card for a special friend (no names, in case she's looking) and my inspiration came from the photo challenge at the Altenew Blog September/October Challenge.

These photos of Windsor Castle are stunning and I can't even imagine being surrounded by such richness on a daily basis.  Can you????

I've never been to the UK, but it's been on my "bucket list" for a long time.  My Scottish heritage is calling me.

The gold panels and the rich raspberry color were the strong motivators for the creation of this card and I used the awesome Altenew Persian Motifs stamp set.  I don't have many Altenew Stamps, but the ones that I do have I absolutely love and have used many, many times.  The gold frame is the Altenew Timeless Frames

Thank you for stopping by.

FOODY CHALLENGE AT OUTLAWZ CAS

Quick post today to tell you about the newest challenge at Sunday Clean and Simple challenge at Outlawz Challenges site.

The challenge is a foody challenge.  Come on over and play....there's a great prize to win.

My card....inspired by apples!

I've had this Lockhart Stamp for some time....Ellen Hutson carries them and they are some of the most adorable rubber stamps out there.  I colored the image according to the instructions from the Copic Coloring Guide Level 1.  In the book, they actually used this stamp for one of the examples and since I've had this stamp I wanted to give the coloring instruction a try.   I created the bg with sponges and some coordinating inks and a light flicking motion.  I like how it came out.

That's it...I hope you'll find some time to come over and play in the challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping by.

ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

Hi blog friends!!!

One of the most favorite all time challenges for card makers is "anything goes".  At The House That Stamps Built, that's what the challenge is this week.  It only happens when there are 5 Wednesdays in a month...so get your creative selves in gear and join us!

This color block look came from playing with my Brusho's  on watercolor paper.  I stamped the image RI#9205-O, Hydrangea  with VersaMark ink and then covered the image with white embossing power and heat set it.  After adding water to the paper, I placed the colors in individual corners and the center and let the colors move together.  I let it air dry then used some Gel Medium and "painted" it over the image.

For more inspiration check out the other Anything Goes creations from my team mates.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join the challenge!!!

OUTLAWZ CHALLENGES CAS CHALLENGE

Hello my blog friends!!

You might be interested in a new CAS color challenge at Outlawz Challenges.  The very talented Linda Anderson is making this challenge:

My birthday is in September and I celebrate all month long!! You guessed it, create a birthday themed card using my new favorite color combo - yellow, white, gray and/or black.

Here is my card for Linda's challenge

These leaves and black/gray bg pieces are die cut with Sizzix Tattered Leaves.  I used scraps of yellow, black and gray cardstock, covered them with LifeStyle Craft Shape'n Tape black sheets before cutting them.  For the sentiment I used MFT Lable Maker dies and stamps.

Thanks for stopping by and if you have a chance to play along with the challenge this week, I hope you'll do it.  There's a prize for a random entry at the end of the month.
