Sean and Regina's Blog Hop

WELCOME TO THE JULY BLOG HOP!

Hi everyone! Thanks for playing along in this new blog hop! The Blog Hop with Sean & Regina is featuring cards and sentiments celebrating the Christmas/Winter season! Most of us are going through extreme heat right now and we are looking for some relief! 

We have some amazing creations for you to see and what's even better is that there are goodies you can win!   Some blogs will have 'BONUS'  candy but the big win will be announced on Sean's blog on Monday, July 23. 

I live in Maine, and I'd prefer to let summer hang out for just a little longer - the winters can be so darn long and cold here....so here's a touch of Maine to relieve your heat stroke. Breath the cold night air - can you see your breath???  Can you feel/hear the cold crunch of icy snow under your feet????

Embellishments - MS "Snow Glitter" over a PTI Ric Rac die cut in white cs.  It give it that "tundra" feeling. 

I'm such a CAS kinda gal, and I like to add some sense of feeling or emotion in a CAS design. 

The theme for this hop is Christmas/Winter and in a subtle way, my card is showing the magic of a winter Christmas night with family close by.  And that just makes the holiday's so meaningful to me. 

 


The inside of my card is stamped with blue snowflakes and a quote by Aristotle "In all things of nature, there is something of the marvelous".  All are Repeat Impressions Stamps.

REPEAT IMPRESSIONS DESIGNER CHOICE CHALLENGE

Hello blog friends,
Here we are with another Rock Star DCC for you.  Today it's Makiko's turn to challenge us and she has choosen the theme "Outdoors/Wildlife".  Repeat Impressions has so many fantastic outdoor and wildlife stamps - and it's so much fun to create with them. 

We hope you'll play along with Maki's challenge and link your creation to "The House That Stamps Built" blog.  You'll then be entered into a drawing for some of RI's fabulous stamps.  You don't have to use RI stamps, but if you do, you'll be entered in the drawing twice.  So have some fun with "Outdoors/Wildlife" and join Maki's challenge.

Stamps #4218-K "Whitetail Doe and Fawn" and #8614 (sentiment).

This doe and fawn are one of my favorite wildlife stamps from RI.  Just a week ago, while my hubby and I were outside weeding our garden, a doe, much like this one, came out of the woods with twin fawns and crossed our lawn into the hay field.  It was so exciting to see such beatuiful and precious creatures.

My card was made using Gina K Pure Luxury White and Dandelion CS.  The bg dp, bglayer and stamps are from the new StampTV Kit "Hello Sunshine".   Copic Markers were used to color the flip flops and Stickles were used to add bling.  The sentiment banner was created using the sunburst stamp included in the stamp kit with Memento "Dandelion" ink.  The bg dies are from Spellbinder Nestabilities - "Square Swatches" and "Classic Squares Large".

WHAT IF? WEDNESDAY at REPEAT IMPRESSIONS

Welcome to What If? Wednesday at The House That Stamps Built!!! 
Are you ready for some great inspiration for this fabulous sketch from a fabulous DT? 

You know you're going to have some fun with this sketch.  I can't wait to see what you create. 
Here's my card - I flipped it a bit and would love to know what you think of it.

The images for my card is RI stamps "Summer Clothesline" #9017-W and "Grass Border" #1507-J and the sentiment is "Flutter By" #9005-E.  After sponging the bg with Memento inks "Summer Sky", "Bahama Blue", "Bamboo Leaves" and "Pear Tart" I stamped the clothes line image and colored it with Copic Markers.  The grass border was stamped twice in Memento "Cottage Ivy" and again with "Bamboo Leaves".  The sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and sponged with Memento "Dandelion".  I used Stickles on the tiny flower and the MS punched butterfly.

I love dragonflies.  They eat other nasty bugs and I love it when I see these guys flying about in our backyard....it means we can sit out on our deck without the worry of annoying bugs around.  They really scoop them up.
