Hi blog friends!
Today we're being challenged by Repeat Impressions Rock Star Karen to make a card using 3 elements: (1) a stamped image, (2) Embossing and (3) Die cut or punch.
Here's my card -
This card would make a great graduation card for a young man or even perhaps for someone who has achieved a pilot's license.
The image is from the new stamp set "Big Boys Toys" and looks very much like my husband's aircraft, (his big boy toy) and I even colored it with Copic marker BG10, to make it resemble his plane. I sponged some Memento "Blue Sky" ink for a cloud back ground. After die cutting the frame and then the image with Spellbinder Diamond shape dies they were adhered together and then embossed with a diamond ef from CB. The bg dp is from MME, "Lost & Found" 6x6 Designer Pad. The card stock is from GKD Pure Luxury line; Kraft, Black Onyx, White and Lipstick Red.
We hope you'll join us in playing along with Karen's Challenge. Once you've created your project and linked it to your blog or online posting site, head on over to The House That Stamps Built and post your link there. You'll be entered to win Repeat Impression stamps. If you use a Repeat Impression stamp, you'll be entered twice!
Please visit the rest of the Rock Stars as they showcase their cards using Karen's challenge.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you'll play along with us!

Hi blog friends!
Once again it's time to play along with a CAS (clean and simple) challenge at Outlawz! This week it's a color CAS challenge - use green, pink and yellow on your card. Come over and play along with us.
For this card I created a focal panel, placed popdots on the back and then layered it on the card base. It gave the card an interesting look - as if it were a "book cover". The focal stamp set is "Great Sayings" from Gina K Designs and the tiny butterflies are from PTI "Butterfly Dreams" set. The bigger butterfly is a MS punch.
I hope you'll come and play along with us at Outlawz CAS challenge. If CAS is not your style, check out all the challenges you're sure to find a fun challenge to play in and the prizes are fabulous!!!!
I'm so very happy you stopped by and thank you for your kind comments. Have a crafty week!

Hi blog friends,
I have been so thrilled to be part of Ali Manning's Guest DT to introduce you to her fabulous vintage Etsy site. If you haven't visited Ali's Vintage Etsy Shop yet, do yourself the pleasure. It's a visual walk back in time that will truly deight your senses and inspire your vintage creativity.
Ali, asked me to participate in designing with her vintage bird kit and I have to tell you this kit is stunning! Ancient pages, illustrations, images, and seam bindings are just part of what you'll find in this kit.
Today is my day to show case a project I've created with the Vintage Bird Kit and I couldn't be more excited. I used so much of material in the kit, yet...I have so much more to use.
Months ago, while shopping the $1.00 bin in Michael's Craft store, I found some chipboard house books. I had no idea at the time what I might do with them, but ,for a buck......I HAD to buy them. I bought two now wish I'd bought more.
I hope all you vintage crafters will take a peek at Vintage Page Designs Ali's blog and then the fab Etsy shop.
Thank you for stopping by!! Have a great week!!!

Hi blog friends!!!
I have two postings today. Please page up for my Vintage Page Designs post.
Here at Repeat Impressions it's time for another What If? Wednesday Sketch Challenge. Come on over and play! Here's Wendy's sketch!
And here's my card
For this card I used "Belle" Repeat Impressions stamp #701-K and the sentiment is #2501. I captured only the "Happy Birthday" sentiment by masking (with a piece of scotch tape) over the words I didn't want to appear then before stamping, I took the tape off. The sentiment and image are cut out and then placed on the card with dimensionals. The dp is Kaisercraft 6x6 pack English Rose Collection. The pink ribbon is vintage from my collection. Die is from MFT.
Come play with us and post your own creation using Wendy's sketch up on The House That Stamps Built. (details on the blog) Please visit my Rock Star friends for more stunning inspirations using this sketch.
Thank you for stopping by and your comments MAKE my day!!!! BIG HUGS.

Hi there blog friends!
I hope you all had a Happy Mother's Day!!!
We're here for another fabulous STAMP OF THE WEEK with Repeat Impressions - The House That Stamps Built. This week's stamp, which you can purcahse at 50% off is stamp #8214-N Persian. Just link over to House That Stamps Built and grab the code and add this beauty to your collection. Don't you just LOVE this face????
I made this card for a friend and co-worker, Joan and her family who just adopted two adorable 12 year old Himalayan cats. The kitties had to surrendered by their elder owners because they were moving to a nursing care facility and couldn't bring along their babies. How sad, yet, how wonderful that Joan and her family were willing to adopt older cats. She tells me they are doing fantastic and are adapting very well to their new home.
My image was masked then stamped twice to get two side by side images. I colored them with Copic Markers, cut them out and placed them on the embossed layer with dimensionals. I love that sentiment stamp - it was perfect for this card, I think. #4031G.
Thank you for stopping by! Please visit the Rock Star Team and see their fabulous work with The Stamp of the Week #8241N - Persian
