Cards To Share

It has been quite some time since I last posted here.  I've been busy taking care of my Mom who has dementia and who lives with us.  She recently was hospitalized for 5 days with a blood clot in her leg and you know what that means.....running from work, to home, to the hospital then home again.  I was pretty pooped out after those 5 days.  Good news!  She's better and back home.  Now we're doing the Dr. Circuit - 3 appointments this week, 2 next week and on it goes.  Craft time???? There isn't much, but I've squeezed out a little time in for it.

This Thursday, February 18, starting at 10:00 p.m. CST, there will be a Center Stage Spotlight Inspiration Blog Hop with Gina K Design new stamp designed to help the victims of the Haitian earthquake.  For each stamp sold Gina is donating $2.00 to the Red Cross for victim relief of the earthquake.  The awesome stamp is called "HOPE IS FAITH",  I hope you'll stop back tomorrow, or even some time during the weekend and see what everyone has created with this gorgeous stamp set.

It was Valentine's Day and I wanted to give my hubby a card that would make him smile.  It did the trick and he loved his card.

The stamps are from I Brake For Stamps
The card stock is Pure Luxury White from GKD
Nesstibilities Heart by Spellbinders
Assorted embellishments from stock and the punch is Martha Stewart Heart punch.

I have another card I'd like to show you.  I've been playing with different card types and this one is called Tri-Fold Card.  I'm showing the outside and the inside of the card I made for my daughter-in-law's birthday.  Let me know what you think.

Paper:  GKD Pure Luxury White, Ocean Mist and free digi download

Stamps: SmArtWorks   and Papertrey Ink
CuttleBug Embossing Borders "With Love"

That's it until tomorrow!  I hope you'll be back in the next few days to see the Inspiration Blog Hop creations.
Thanks for stopping by.

Gingersnap Creations Challenge

I'm taking my first step and entering a card in a challenge with Gingersnap Creations .  This is a great site and fun place to get some fantastic inspiration.

I'm entering this for the Metallic Challenge on Gingersnap Creations.   I did this card originally for a Embossed Foil  challenge on StampTV .  It's easy, it's CAS and it pleases everyone who receives it.

Stamp:  B Line Designs "Susan Kay".
CuttleBug Embossing, Perfect Pearls, Stickles and miscellaneous embellishments from my stash were used in the making of this card.  (None were harmed - heeheehee!)

Thanks for looking.

Who Really Captures My Heart?

Who really owns my heart?  A (soon to be) 3 year old boy named Philip and a (soon to be) 2 year old girl named Alexa.  They're brother and sister and my grandchildren.  Cute as buttons and verrryyyy smart!  (wink).  (We all have the cutest and smartest kids and grandkids, don't we????).    So, because Philip and Alexa are so cute and they absolutely own my heart, I wanted to make them some cute Valentine's Day cards.

I used stamps from 3 GKD sets all designed by Melanie Muenchinger called, "Inspiration Mosaic" ,  "Just So Hippy" and "Tech Talk" .  These stamps are adorable and they're so much fun to play with.

The papers are from GKD Pure Luxury Ivory CS, DP pieces are from Cosmos Cricket "Girl Friday" and October Afternoon "Report Card Paper Pad".

Inks are Memento Tuxedo Black, Vivid Garnet and I colored with Copic Markers. (Sorry I didn't take notes and I forgot which ones they were.)

Thanks for stopping by and have a really great day.

ANOTHER STAMPTV CHALLENGE

As the big snowstorm approaches all my blogging/crafting friends in the mid-Atlantic states, I'll be thinking of you.  We're very familiar with them here in Maine, but this one will miss us (so they say).

I'm posting a card that I made for this week's color challenge on StampTV  If you'd like to play along, just click on the "challenge" link and it will take you right there.

The color challenge is to use Sage, Yellow, White and Black.  While I was trying to imagine what I would do to create with those colors, the image of the fantastic Adirondack chair by Asela Hopkins came to mind and I thought I would play with that and see what happened and I actually liked the way it turned out.  I hope you do too.

Paper:  GKD Pure Luxury White, GKD Fresh Asparagus, GKD Black Onyx, the DP is from a K&Company 12X12 pad Designer Paper.

Stamps:  GKD "The Journey" by Asela Hopkins and the new showtime stamp kit "Picture It".

Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Frayed Burlap" and VersaMagic "Spanish Olive".

Coloring:  Copic Markers, Y00, Y11, Y12 and Y17.

Embellishments:  Ribbon is from GKD and Tim Holz Fragments.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!
