I was unable to hook up with the original post that Wendy published because our area was hit by a big wind storm and it knocked out all the power and Internet services. We were down for 3 days, but I'm happy to be here now catching up and glad to be posting my card.

NOVEMBER 2017 DESIGNER'S CHOICE CHALLENGE AT THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT
Hello house people....I'm finally able to publish my post for this fabulous DCC Challenge that Laurie is hosting from The House That Stamps Built. It's all about "falling for you" using leaves and a fall theme.
I was unable to hook up with the original post that Wendy published because our area was hit by a big wind storm and it knocked out all the power and Internet services. We were down for 3 days, but I'm happy to be here now catching up and glad to be posting my card.

To create this card using RI Stamps #5127-K "Maple Leaf Sil" and #3214-G "Thanksgiving Blessings", I first stamped the leaves on a white cs panel with various fall colors of Distress Oxide Inks, layering each color. I then fussy cut each leaf out leaving a tiny white border around the shape. Taking a dark brown cs panel, I partially sponged white pegment ink through a stencil (Memory Box) and cut the panel with the a stitched die. I then positioned the leaves against the sponged stenciling and glued them in place. The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white ep. Finally, I took a fall color assortment of Nuvo drops and Viva Pearl Pens that I had and made tiny droplets around the leaves.
I hope you'll join Laurie and the other Rock Stars and play along with this fabulous challenge. For details on how to play head on over to THE HOUSE.

ReplyDeleteAwesome card. Sure glad you got power 3 days without it wow that's crazy!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous!! The sponging makes it look (in the photo at least) like the cardstock is creased/folded. What a great look. Love all the little nuvo drops; fun touch!
