Hi there Junkies!
I had fun last week revisiting an older technique I hadn't done in a while. It looks so rich on the dark teal card stock.
Using my MISTI, I stamped the "Beautiful Conch" stamp on the teal cs with white pigment ink. I stamped it several times, however, I let it dry between each stamping in order to get a good white coverage of the stamp. After I stamped it the final time, while it was still wet, I sprinked it with pearl white ep and heat embossed it. I cut around the image and set it aside. I also stamped the shell again on a thicker piece of cs and cut that out so I could give the embossed image some dimension.
Using gold pigment ink, I inked up the background stamp "Crosshatch" in gold pigment ink and stamped it on a white cs panel. After it dried, I put the two shell pieces together and placed the shell against the panel.
To finish it off, I stamped a sentiment from "By The Sea Set of 6" set with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white ep.
This is such a cool and different way of playing with your stamps.
So, that's it for me today. I hope you find some inspiration and get your craft on....it's fun there!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous SS. That shell looks awesome against the bright background.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good idea to let it dry between stamping. Never thought of that. Your results are beautiful and I love the colours you used. Wonderful job!
