OPERATION WRITE HOME MEMORIAL DAY BLOG HOP

Happy Memorial Day, blog friends!!

Once again, I am participating in this very special blog hop with Operation Write Home and I hope all of my blog followers and friends will take some time during this weekend to visit some of the extrodinarily talented crafters represented here....I know you're sure to be inspired and there are some awesome prizes to win too.

This year, our cards are saying "Thank You" to our service men and women.  If you've never heard of Operation Write Home, I encourage you to check it out and get on board with some great people for a great reason.

I'm remembering my dad this holiday - he was a Pearl Harbor survivor.  On December 7, 1941, he was 20 years old (barely) and had already been a soldier for 2 years.  He passed away in 1994 - a member of the greatest generation.  I miss him.

I used two sketches and made two cards:

Stamp is from Stampers Best big supporter of OWH

I wish you all a very happy Memorial Day weekend - please don't forget why we have this holiday....freedom is NOT free...someone fought (and fights) for it and we need to remember that.

Thank you OWH....You ROCK!!!!!

Luckily he was in the Mediterranean on an escort ship and not at Pearl and yes their generation will be missed. God Bless and hope you have a great weekend, a wonderful time to remember.
