Greetings, blog friends!
Can you believe it....another Labor Day has passed as well as another summer. It amazes me how fast they go by. I hope your weekend was a safe and happy one.
Here I am with another card challenge. This time I'm playing along with the folks at CAS-ual Fridays
and here is their challenge for this week -
The answer is a book!
In honor of International Literacy Day on September 8th,
we have a special challenge involving papercrafting and books.
CFC18: Create a Clean And Simple project inspired by a book, and use the colors black, white and red.
You can choose your book from any genre, just please tell us which book. You may find your inspiration on the cover, from a character or from within the story itself.
Get creative and have fun with it.
For my card I used one of my all-time favorite stamps from B Line Designs. While I love silhouette stamps, they don't cooperate with me very well and this one was no exception. I had a really hard time getting a good image, but this one finally satisfied me.
One of my favorite all time novels was "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Truman Capote and this stamp always made me think of the main character in the book, "Holly Golightly"; the character Audrey Hepburn immortalized in the film.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Cheri
Turn out very stunning

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Cheri! Not sure if you have ever tried Versafine Onyx black ink, but I get much better results with silhouette stamps when using it.
